pours out a clouded gold colour with an egg shell white head. a half inch in girth, it takes it time to recede and leaves some pretty lace. light spice on the nose...some lemon rind and melon esthers permeate the nostrils. taste profile is hugely fruity with an underlying dry and cracker like malt base. it's half juicy fruit and half thirst quencher...side by side with some white pepper spice and herbal hop finish. lots of mustiness, clover , honey and wheat. this is a bright and very flavourful belgian inspired ale. yeasty esthers abound, and the dry, slightly bitter end is perfect. curiously layered and complex for a low ABV session ale. the body seems bigger than it actually is with a crisp, spicy, larger than 32 IBU mouthfeel. drinkablity is off the charts...i usually find these low ABV "session" ales weak, watery and lacking character but this one is off the hook.
overall i'm floored. this is an outstanding belgian inspired session ale. full of flavour, and screams summer quencher. this would be the perfect beer to have a keg of to drink away the summer season. highly recommended. GREAT JOB SUMMIT!
