A= Pours an ever so slightly hazy color with beautiful active carbonation and a nice bright white finger of head. This is a beautiful beer in all honesty. I can't think of a time recently that I've been so happy with the appearance of a beer.

S= The smell comes off with a nice belgian yeasty aroma. The hop profile comes in right behind with a unique sort of way. It's not really what I would call citrusy but it's not quite grassy either. It's a sort of balance. Maybe a little flowery. The yeast however plays the dominate role. There is also a defined malt character that hides in there with a nice caramelly sweetness.

T= The taste is about where I expected from the nose. The dominate character is a Beligan yeastyness. Sort of a bubblegum breadyness. Actually I would say this is very bubblegummy. The hop taste is simiar to the nose with a bit more bitterness than the nose lead me to believe. There's little malty sweetness from what I'm picking up.

M= The mouth is not as active as it looks in the glass and coats the palate very well.

O= This is another win for Summit for sure. Unfortunatly I'm not bit into the bubblegum belgian yeast thing. For those of you who love belgians this is a home run. Me it's a little much but hey I knew what I was getting into. This is for sure packed with flavor for being a lower ABV beer. I can see me drinking a few of these on a hot summer night. Check this beer out if you like belgians for sure. Summit has been killing it.

Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a thick white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of bready malt, bubblegum, banana, hints of root beer spices, unusual and intriguing. Flavor quite different; biscuit malt, citrus, grassy hops with faint hints of Belgian yeast and spicing. Leaves a lingering ginger, banana and grassy hop flavor. Light to medium bodied with nice active carbonation. An interesting light ale that leans in profile towards am American pale ale, but has some light Belgian hints. Refreshing, interesting and nicely made.

Summit Union Series Meridian Session Ale, Meridian Hops grown in the USA, Concerto Pale malt grown in the United Kingdom…Belgian-style Session Ale. Limited Edition Craft Brew. 4.5 % Alc by Vol. 32 IBU. Enjoy by 9/28/13.

This is a new one for me. Summit broke from their shell of the same ol' tried and true with the Unchained Series, and now this new Union Series that I don't fully understand. Not sure what the aim is with this. No matter, I'll just step right into it an see what the beer is all about…

Lightly hazed, golden yellow appearance, nice snowy white head, leaving lace.

Aroma: fresh and lively, lightly spicy, slightly fruity, giving the general sense of a witbier/BPA. Gorgeous, actually. Mm.

Taste: Hmmm. Pale malt, some wheat? ( not sure…), we've got the fruit and the spice and a little bit of hops. Nice stuff. It's a drinker, plenty of special Belgian-style flavorings. Nicely consumable. Plenty of flavor, plenty of pleasure.

Thanks, Summit, I'll have another.
