This nice Irish pub seems strangely out of place amid the grungey college-kid, über-socialite scene of Lower Greenville. It's neither a rowdy college hangout nor a Eurotrash martini bar, which is more fitting for the area. It's just a really solid pub.

Good look and feel, clean, lots of wood and areas to sit or stand. Dark and cozy, avoiding the ugly macro neon of surrounding bars. A small patio out front with wood benches that look fairly uncomfortable but with a great view of the crowds on Greenville Avenue.

A dozen or so on tap, maybe 30-40 in bottles. Everything is in perfect condition (did I taste a nitro Guinness tap?) and served in the proper brewery-specific glassware. A brief food menu with Irish-styled dishes. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the place and their products.

Surprisingly, this place was virtually empty even on a Saturday night. Maybe it's a late LATE night place but we saw bored staffers standing around as late as 9:30pm. Jukebox was broken/shut down but the stereo music was pretty good. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in the area.

I found The Dubliner on my first visit to DFW. I was so impressed with the atmosphere that it became a required stop on any visit to the DFW area. Dimly lit with an almost cobblestone floor, one could almost image he had walked through a door directly into a Dublin pub. Parking is not great and there is limited seating, but it's worth the inconvenience.

The employees must be direct from Ireland. Sometimes hard to understand, but a joy to visit with. On my second visit, I encountered a beautiful red head with an appropriate accent! She introduced me to several new brews that I had not found elsewhere since.

If you enjoy an authentic Irish pub, you'll love The Dubliner!

The Dubliner is a cozy little Irish pub located near Stan's Blue Note on Lower Greenville Avenue & Goodwin. The place looks a bit tattered from the outside, but the inside has plenty of authentic Irish charm & warmth and that's no accident because the proprietors hail from Dublin. The draught selection is weighted to the UK, but balanced with some BE, DE & US offerings and the bottle selection is surprisingly decent with a few hidden gems. As an added bonus, the bartenders make an effort to serve all of the beers in the appropriate glassware which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Definetly the best pint of Guinness to be found in town! In addition, they have a solid selection of both Irish & Scotch whisky if you enjoy a dram. The food menu is not very expansive, but high quality for pub fare. I love the Welsh Rarebit sandwich served with house salt & vinegar chips, the cheese boards are great, and the loaded spuds will keep you from drowning. The Dubliner is a fine establishment for thirsty travelers. Be certain to check out the brother & sister pubs called The Idle Rich Pub & The Old Monk. Stop by for a limerik and a firkin pint!

I was in town staying at the exceptional Mansion on Turtle Creek. If you can afford to stay there, you should. i was traveling for work which is why i was able to indulge.

The Dubliner is only a few miles from the hotel and the hotel courtesy car got me there quickly.

The Dubliner is not too big, they had nice patio seating outside but with the 100 degree temps no one was sitting out there.
A nice very comfortable place. menu consists of 4 or 5 sandwiches so not much choice for food. decent beer selection but there were no texas brews, being from out of town i wanted to try something local.

Owned by the same company as Old Monk and one other place in dallas

The Dubliner is a nice little traditional irish pub situated on Lower Greenville. It is a cozy little place except on the weekends when it tends to be crowded with your typical yuppy and group of white hats. That is probably the only downfall. Other than that they have a great beer selection, tap and bottle, at a fairly decent price. The wait staff is all very nice, especially when your friends know them. I didn't try the food, but to top it off they have an excellent dart board from the Young's Brewery.
