Reviewed on opening night...

Atmosphere - perfectly crisp evening on April 30th. Temps were 72, dropping into the 60's for the evening. The place was buzzing with folks of all ages, but predominanatly 28ish-45ish. The shade trees are only saplings at this point, come summer you better be one skinny dude to sit in the shade in the garden. Give it 7 to 10 years, they'll grow.

Quality - the beer is brewed under the direction of a brew master from Munich. They have 5 selections, allowing him to ensure each beer is made to exacting specs.

Service - okay here's the worst part. We ordered food at 7:30, received it at 9:30. They have since adressed this issue by 1) limiting the menu in the beer garden, allowing Festhaus orders to get turned over more quickly, 2) putting a grill in the beer garden, so those outside can still get a bratwurst and get it relatively quickly, 3) in an overall sense, just adjusting to the demands placed on the staff. Their staff had that new look in their eyes, full of energy, trying their best to meet the overwhelming demand of opening night. They worked their tails off.

Selection - the menu is very extensive food-wise. Full line of appetizers (stay away from the crinkle cut potatos, they're just warmed up Ruffles for 5 bucks a plate), salads, wursts, entrees, soups. desserts. Obviously, they specialize in authentic German beers, so you're not getting a selection in the hundreds just 5. But you're not there for selection per se. The liters run about 8 bucks a liter I believe. Entrees run 12 to 15, appetizers are 6 to 10. Bottom line - not the cheapest place you'll eat/drink, but the beer is worth every penny.

Food - the food is good, the onion rings are killer. They're also 7 bucks, but they're very good.

excellent place for a good night of German food and good beer. They established a new beer, the Hofbrau Hallodri, which was excellent!

I would definitely return, as the food, service, and atmosphere were absolutely awesome!

Not necessarily the place to go if you're on a tight budget, but the price for the portion size is awesome! We almost always bring home leftovers!

A great "German beer garden" that I frequented when visiting my friends in Cincinnati. Small number of taps, but all the typical German beer styles. The hefeweizen and the dunkel were top notch, and served in the big German glasses like you'd expect. The food is typical but delicious German fare. The service is good, and the beer girls are very friendly, and very nice to look at, ha.

Reasonable prices, but that's to be expected when the beer lacks flavor (completely unremarkable) and is served in mugs that are still hot from the dishwasher. I had the Dunkel which was okay, but not one of the better dunkels I've had. The premium lager tasted like what you'd expect a "premium" lager to taste like. All of this beer seems like what BMC people drink when they want to brag that they like good beer. Food is like a German version of Applebee's. Lots of cute girls as servers, which is fun, but doesn't overcome the fact that there are only four beers and the food tastes like it was microwaved. You can do a lot better across the river.

Building is really nice though.
