A: straw colored beer with a nice thick head
S: Bready with a sweet aroma
T: Sweet malts with an almost Pilsner like hop character. Bready and spicy all at the same time.
M: Great carbonation cives this beer a refreshing quenching mouthfeel
O: My favorite of all the fest beers I tried this year. It has a lighter taste but higher alcohol than most. sneaky beer that requires one to monitor intake closely. this beer slides down easy, very festive

Appearance: Orangish body, clear; big, frothy head

Aroma: Grassy, spicy, hoppy

Taste: Spicy, tart, citrusy, hoppy; ok, but not as good as the hype

Remarks: initially had this beer in bottle, but did get to try it with dinner at the Hofbräuhaus in Munich. No real change in the rating.

Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

Half litre bottle, poured into German half litre lager glass. Golden colour, with a lot of carbonation. Smells of nuts (like all HB beers) Tastes like Munich Oktoberfest biers with a bit of the Christmas spiciness. Not as spicy as some of the other German Christmas beers, but the carbonation and warming alcohol leave a tingle on the tongue.

Enjoyed this fine beverage on tap at the Gast Haus.

Arrived in a 22 oz beer stein.

A) Golden/Blonde body, with plenty of bubbles rising to the surface. About a finger of white foam that settled into a nice little cap. Decent lacing too.

S) Mostly a caramel maltiness. Just slight floral fragrance from the hops. Really just a sweet aroma.

T) Follows the nose pretty well. A slight hop bitterness hits the taste buds, but this is really all about the sweetness provided by the malt. There is a little bit of an earthy or oaky/woody taste that comes through. The ABV on this is higher than many of the O-Fests I've had recently, but you wouldn't know it.

M) A medium to medium/light body. This is pretty well carbonated, but not overly so. Rests well on the palate, pretty smooth. Aftertaste is fine.

O) I've never had an Oktoberfest this light in color, but all the qualities I expected were there. I paired this with some delicious German cuisine, and it really hit the spot.

On tap at Bierhaus in a .5L mug

A - Amber gold, very clear is a nice head that sticks around for a while

S - Malt and bitter floral hops, sugar esthers

T - Rich earthy malts, bitter hops keep the beer from being overly sweet

M - Rather quaffable, good level of carbonation

O - One of the lighter Oktoberfest Marzens I've had, but none the less enjoyable
