A : pours a clear and vibrant copper with a big thick off white head. Super clear and honey colored makes very inviting.
S : very light aroma of biscuits drizzles with honey. A sweet malt back with a musty and earthy hop finish.
T : sharp and sweet at first, with a bready body and finish of sweet malts. There is a hop bite right after the sharp Munich yeast flavor. After a few sips you notice a slight hop at the tail end that is slightly citrusy and blends nicely with the mild sweetness.
M : highly carbed makes it carry flavor throughout. Good solid lingering on the tongue and cheeks.
Heavier than most American beers of the style but by no means heavy. Super flavorful and easy to drink. Lovely stuff.

A pretty, very beery beer...lacy head goes down quickly. I pulled the 6 pack fresh from the case---as the green glass sitting in a well-lit store will skunk it up quick--no skunk aroma at all this way---BUT the Germans would not call it fresh either. All malt, no hops in the aroma--which is correct for the style.
The hops give it a clean, fresh aftertaste, cutting through the heavy caramel malts. Extremely well balanced--to be expected of German beers, something American brewers should learn--if their taste buds are not hop-burned-out already. This is NOT an IPA drinkers beer--as the flavor is all about the quality malt--with hops only as an accent. A great Spring beer--after a long hot day, looking forward to summer, this beer goes down very well-- with a mouth-feel almost like a meal, but not as meat-and-potatos as say double bock or dark ales.
Maibock is one of my favorite styles, with Einbecker Mai-Urbock my first and favorite of the genre. This one is close, but not quite as light....still a super high-quality beer, for those who know quality beer is more about malt, than hops.

Poured on-tap into a mug. Pours red orange with a small white head. Smells of roasted malt with slight berries. Tastes of slight fruit nice malt, sweet but not too sweet. Beer is lightly carbonated, light bodied, crisp finish. Overall a pretty good beer.
