Stopped by here after checking out the Milwaukee City Market (which is really nice). Decent sized coolor of beer lined against a back wall. Good selection of micros and Belgians.
Not the most extensive but actually much more extensive than I thought it would be. A few beers I didn't see at the other well-known stores in Milwaukee. Most micros were in the cooler and the Belgains in their own small aisle. Nice setup.
Service is fairly weak for beer but would be great for wine. They all seemed really nice though.
The deli at the back looks awesome and I will make sure to check that out next time. Not bad, there's better options in Milwaukee, but this might be the best for downtown.

This is a nice little wine/beer store located right downtown where I work. When reviewing this store, I wish there was a rating for price. This place is ridiculously priced. Granted, there decent beers here, especially in the single bottle selection, but they are way over-priced. A 6-pack of Bell's Cherry Stout was $15, when I could get it at Grapes & Grain for $10. The only time I stop here is when I need a little treat after work. Like most other stores like this, they focus more on wine than beer. That is not a bad thing, but I have yet to find someone in one of these nice stores who know much about beer.

well what can I say, the only place right downtown (where I live) that I can pick up a decent micro. The focus here is mainly wine as the name implies, but they do have a back wall that is all coolers filled with beers. These are mainly four and six packs of various imports and micros. The adjacent wall has mainly various singles. Some of the main brands they carry are Avery, Dogfish Head, Allagash, Ommengang, Chimay, Bells, New Glarus, and Rogue. Not the hugest selection, but a haven for being in the middle of downtown and nicely focused on the belgian style.

Small yet selective offering of local and popular microbrews. Primary focus of stock is on wine, but there is a cooler along the back wall which has current staples from some local and midwestern micros, including seasonals. Corner shelving adjacent to the cooler has a small offering of Belgian ales and imports also.
There aren't a lot of beer/wine vendors located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, so it's nice to see a place to buy decent beer in that area. The store's trendy atmosphere fits the East town neighborhood perfectly. Staff seemed friendly and accommodating.
