The cork is reluctant to leave the bottle, and I must use a cork screw to make it change its mind; it comes out suddenly, the foam spills over the edge of the bottle, and a funky sour-sweet aroma fills my kitchen. Intriguing. This is my first geuze...

Into my lovely Dogfish Head snifter it goes.

Massive, coffee-creamer-colored head, popping and snapping across the very top of the glass. Aroma is surprizingly light and just a bit sour. Darker and cloudier in the glass than I had anticipated, like cloudy butterscotch. The first taste is of foam only, and it is sharp, peppery; now the actual liquid hits home, and it is sharper, more acrid, than the foam, but not at all out of control, not at all as bad as I had feared it would be. Really, it is no sharper than a particularly ginger-ish ginger ale, and I can't imagine why anyone would have a problem drinking this beer.

Remarkably drinkable - so refreshing - one of those beers that you cannot help swishing in your mouth.

Mouthfeel is not thin immediately; it strikes me as being almost chewy at first, and then it quickly becomes thin, almost airy.

I want more.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color, topped witha couple of fingers of white head that immediately disappears. Lots of bubbles in there.
The aroma is soury, between new wine and cider.
The taste is quite sharp, soury and dry.
Don't really like it, sorry.

Poured From a 750ml bottle. *This is my first true sour*

Pours a light hazy light orange, almost yellow or golden, with a decent amount of off-white, fluffy head. Very carbonated.

Smells funky at first. I let it sit for a few minutes before smelling again to allow some of the funk to blow off. Smells of hay, barnyard, farty, musty, notes of champagne or white wine barrels.

Tastes very similar to how it smells. SUPER dry. Steals all the moisture in your mouth.

Mouth feel is great. Very light and heavily carbonated, almost like drinking a sparkling white wine.

Overall the beer was quite an experience. At taste and smell I was fearful I wouldn't like it, but like all great things, it grew on me as I sipped it, and maybe as it opened up a bit.
