A: pours an attractive gold red colour with massive and lasting head. Good lacing also. 4.5
S: heavy and sweet malt profile. Caramel and a bit of roast. Then the funk. Bit of cherry syrup, bit of chocolate, bit of lemon. Not many of the "off" funky smells, interestingly enough. Pineapple, sulfur, green apple skins. 4
T: Taste is also sweeter than expected. Malt, cherry syrup, alcohol. Butter menthols in smell and taste (butterscotch). Pineapple, sulfur. Fairly well balanced between sweet and sour. 4
M: Think I would prefer if it was less syrupy but might be a personal taste thing. 3.5
O: Quality beer but wouldn't go out of my way to have it again. Bit too malty/sweet for my money and I'd like more pucker in the taste. Non-sour drinkers may well enjoy this. 3.5
