Bottle: traditional 330mL bottle, stylish label. I like it as a package; stylish.

Appearance: poured into a tulip glass. Pours a hazy amber-orange with plenty of fine carbonation across the profile. A one-finger fluffy white head hangs about for a time before settling to a creamy cap. Plenty of thick lacing. A fantastic-looking beer.

Aroma: mmm, that's a proper tripel right there. Toasted malts, honey, caramels, citrus and spices.

Taste: again the toasted malts with some wheat and clove, some bittering hops.

Aftertaste: the hop bitterness drops away pretty quickly, to be replaced by sweet malts. Very, very drinkable.

Mouth feel: a moderate body with just enough of that fine carbonation to carry plenty of flavour through. A good mouth feel.

Overall: I'm a big fan of tripels and a big fan of Leffe, so I had high hopes for this one. Thankfully and once again Abbaye de Leffe have once again delivered. A fantastic tripel - one of the best. Complex and easy drinking - I'll pay the extra bucks for this one.

330ml. bottle, pour into a Leffe glass. Cloudy yellow to orange colour, with a dense and compact head that leaves some lace when it vanishes. Lots of sediments floating around. Smell is at first yeasty, earth, then it opens to what it seems a lot of spices, clove, coriander cardamom, orange zest, fruits... Dense and creamy palate, taste of orange zest, spices (as in the smell), notes of honey, flowers... Probably my favorite on e from Leffe.
