A: Gold, yet slightly amber color, medium carbonation, and 1/8 inch head, which dissipated quickly.
S: Fruit - some cherry maybe?
T: Not much complexity here, but I appreciate the lack of bitterness. I guess traditionally, Belgian PAs aren't supposed to be that hoppy. Pleasant malt taste.
M: Not too syrupy, which I appreciate. The carbonation is pleasant to the palate.
D: At an ABV of 6.6, that is not too bad, but it stretches the boundaries slightly to achieve full "session beer" status. It's a bit too ordinary to request all the time, but I could easily drink 2 or 3.
Overall: This beer gets knocked around by critics quite a bit, but I personally found it more than adequate. Perhaps it's too commercial for many? I would like to refer to this one as a "craft beer geek's lawnmower beer."
