Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Instantly apparent that the beer is too clear and looks very filtered for a Belgian. A little bit of head that hangs out for a while, but no lacing.
Fruity smell, lots of pear and some Belgian yeast, but the fruitiness dominates. Taste is a little to clean and almost tastes like sparkling pear juice or cider more than beer. Mouth feel is very lively, which again makes it taste more like a sparkling juice than a beer.
Overall enjoyable, but doesn't seem to fit the style well.
