Pours a clear, bright, bronze color. Head is 1 inch and tons of tiny bubbles continuously rise to the top. Lacing was great and so was head retention.
First smell is a spicy, peppery yeast. Some cloves also there mixed with straw malts. No hops or alcohol are detected. Smells are a combination of a BPSA and a hefeweizen.
Taste is of pale straw malts, light corn and crayon. Hops arent present and alcohol is slightly detectable. Spice like cloves are in there mixed with some off flavors that somewhat distract from the beer.
Mouthfeel is light and effervescent. Carbonation is high as typical for a Belgian ale but not overpowering. Head contributed to the overall smoothness of the beer nicely.
Overall this beer was semi sessonable and cheap for its style. There were some off flavors that detracted from the enjoyment of the beer and that prevented it from obtaining a higher score.
