A "macro" Belgian pale-abbey-style, but in a beer wasteland such as Columbia, SC, I was overjoyed to see it on an otherwise bleak menu. (The Melting Pot) It was served in the wrong glass, but hey -- 1) they had it, and 2) they served it in a glass.
Appeareance is a golden pilsner color with a thin head.
Nose: Belgian yeast, sugar, vanilla, and pipe tobacco.
Flavor: oats, hops, white raisins, mild hominy, and slight coriander. Pleasant.
Palate: just fine, really.
Overall: quaffable, plenty pleasant enough to enjoy if somewhat blandly industrial. I'd have it again, gladly.
Serving type: bottle
