Appearance: Golden but clear. Intense Carbonation, a bit too much. Decent and long-lasting head
Smell: A distinct hops smell. Bright and floral.
Taste: Strong carbonation followed by the floral taste of the hops. This was a very sweet beer, on par with dessert wines I have tasted. It reminded me of champagne.
Mouthfeel: Very light.
Overall: This was my first attempt at an Abbey Ale. I am not sure that I will go back to this particular version. The taste is very clean, carbonated, and sweet. The floral notes are overpowered by its sweetness. Not awful, but I am hoping to find better experiences with Abbey Ales.
Served in a warm glass poured from a bottle.
Serving type: bottle
