Perfectly clear light amber with just barely off white head of medium retention. When I first opened, it fizzed up slowly out of the neck. Not from being shaken, mind you. Before the pour, sweet bread and bubblegum aromas. In the glass, some of the same but a distinct Band-Aid note of chlorophenol, not too unpleasant. Also, a little citrus zest. After I've been enjoying it for a while, mostly sugar or bubblegum on the nose. First sip and finish seem mentholated almost or even metallic. Combination of what little hops there are, chlorophenol, and maybe the booze. Sugar and Band-Aid strongest on the palate in the middle. Overall, similar to what I've encountered in certain imported German hefes. Prickly from the carbonation for the first second or so but mellows and softens to cream-like feel. Way on the light end of medium bodied. Nice tingly, warming sensation from the alcohol on the gums and tongue. Not too dry of a finish. (938 characters)

Honey in color. Funky nose. The flavor profile is malty and quite sweet.

This offering worked nicely for the first two but the sweetness got to be too much and I had to switch to something more bitter. Definitely not sessionable. (230 characters)

Pours a light amber with copious carbonation and more than 2fb of white fine head. Smells of cereal, bubblegum, fruity light phenols, caramel. taste rather sweet malts up front with a mid note metallic twang of bitter and smooth, end note (sweet) but rather pleasant. Light to medium body, strong carbonation and goes well with bbq, not particularly complex but overall a rather pleasant blonde.
Overall - not as complex as other belgian blondes, a bit sweeter than I normally enjoy but in the right context (bbq, hamburgs, pizza) a great, light bodied and tastey accompainiement. Solid price point for the quality - better than most 'macrobrews' and I wouldn't hesitate to buy this to attend a tailgate, bbq or other party in which I was trying to find a decent beer at a reasonable price. (792 characters)

Pours a beautiful golden yellow with a thick creamy white head. For me, bubblegum is a very prominent note in the nose, with possibly some other funky tropical fruit as well. Taste is very sweet and smooth, with that bubblegum again surfacing in the middle. Although I'm typically not a huge fan of that note in wheat beers, here it seems to work. Paired this with tacos and corn and felt it was a nice fit. I do probably prefer the brown leffe a bit more, but I'd have no qualms drinking this. (498 characters)

Pours a thin head on a clear amber body.
The aroma is fruits: plum and apricot, and grains.
The taste is mild sweet with background lemon bitterness.
The texture is airy and light with a nice fizz.
Nothing special but fine enough. (230 characters)

A consistently dismissed beer due to ownership by InBev. Pity because Leffe Blonde is an excellent example of the style. "Better" abbey blondes generally have too much of everything for my tastes. I'm looking for something with the requisite Belgian esters that's also lighter, crisper and with less of a lingering mouth-feel than a beer like a St Feuliien blonde -- and Leffe delivers as well as any in the style. As a non-sweet beer drinker, this beer is sweeter (to me) than most any beer that I consistently drink with flavors reminiscent of candy corn. But the sweetness is pleasant as it is balanced by a slight acidity and wheat-flavored undertones. A winner. InBev or not. (687 characters)

I can not understand, what I consider to be severely unwarranted low ratings for this beer. No, it's not barrel aged, double hopped, triple hopped or what ever. Maybe it is the Belgian equivalent of an adjunct lager . . . Who knows. What I can say is this . . . It's a very, very tasty and easy drinking Belgian beer ! And when did easy drinking become a bad thing ? Enjoy. (376 characters)

Appearance - pours golden clear with minimal carbonation, frothy white head that disappears quickly. Aroma - smells of florals, clovey, sweet and fresh. Taste - light tasting, overall it is a sweet beer mouthfeel - lacks astringency is creamy overall - I get a fresh vibe from the beer, creamy sweet easy tp drink, appearance is excellent in a tulip glass and smell is memorable and appreciable. Would highly recommend and would drink again. (441 characters)

Look: Crisp Clear golden color. Big Frothy head takes a while to dissipate. Mild Carbonation.

Smell: Heavy Belgian yeast but something seems a bit off, a little nutty and peppery.

Taste: Very, very much banana. a little nut on the back end.

Feel: Pretty dang solid mouth feel. Good body for a Belgian.

Overall: Pretty solid despite the BA rating. If anything its not a bad entry level belgian that makes for a decent budget option too. at 6.6% and $9 a six pack, it wouldn't be to hard to suck these things down all summer. (527 characters)

One of my favorite go-to Belgians. I don't understand the low rating because it's a very solid beer. Although it isn't the most complex, it's very light and has a great mouth feel. (180 characters)

Leffe blonde is visually pleasing with a rich golden coloring. Sickly sweet, nutty toffee with citrus rinds peaking out every now and then aromatically. Mostly rind and toffee in your mouth with the flavors intensifying after the finish. Very clean in your mouth with a decent amount of linger. (294 characters)

I love this classical Leffe and I have enjoyed 1000s of them. A beer I never grow tired of. It has a wonderful smell and taste of malt. Not a hint of alcohol taste. A balanced beer. Fresh and beautiful. I enjoy the small 25 cl bottle in a real Leffe glas. A wonderful aperitif before a meal. (291 characters)

Had it for the first time in a while. I like Omer and Kwak a lot better, but this isn't quite as bad as I originally remembered. It went fairly well with a brownie as the sweetness of the brownie and the bitterness of the beer worked well together. (250 characters)

This stuff is really nice, very refreshing. I'd say it has a faint vanilla taste to it

It taste and smells similar to a German Weiss-Bier but doesn't have the cloudy yeasty side of it and is no where near as heavy. No swirling the bottle around to get the yeast out ! (268 characters)

The first time I tried it I hated this beer. But than I tried it again and allowed myself to enjoy it slowly. Thats how I saw how tasty it is! It's as if in each bubble of carbonation there is a spice hidden inside (214 characters)

Look: Golden in color; transparent. Pours with a 1+ finger creamy white head that dies down leaving a thin layer of foam on the surface of the beer and lacing on the sides of the glass. Lots of noticeable bubbles.

Smell: Slightly grainy mixed with malt.

Taste: Tastes like it smells. Slightly grainy, mildly malty and slightly sweet. Mild form of a typical Belgian blond, in my opinion. While there are better, I would gladly drink this again.

Feel: Light to medium body; not watery. Nice carbonation.

Overall: I enjoyed this beer. I thought it was a good, somewhat commercial form of a typical Belgian blond. (625 characters)

No comments on this one really, other than it seems to be widespread and quite popular - an easily attainable gateway into the world of Belgian beers.

Look - A rich golden colour with a pillowy white head that sticks around for quite some time.

Smell - Sweet, lots of banana and cloves.

Taste - Very sweet with tons of banana...almost too sweet for me. Some malt, cloves, but much is overshadowed by the sweetness.

Feel - A bit lighter than other similar Belgian beers, but overall a pleasant mouthfeel.

Overall, not a bad beer by any means, but I prefer Duvel's slightly sour maltiness to the sweetness of this one. (621 characters)

Aroma - malty, rich, with fruity notes and an underlying sweetness. Hops are subtle.

Look - a deep gold, leaning towards copper. Head is rich and rocky, dissipating at a moderate speed.

Flavour - rich, sweet, and malty. A slight hop bite. Fruitiness doesn't come through to the flavour. As the beer depletes, so does the original maltiness.

Feel - a medium to light body, finishes slightly sweet and dry

Overall - a tasty beer, though the Blonde label seems misplaced. Very drinkable, but not terribly complex (515 characters)

3/9/15 (Bottle) - Blonde golden pour, mild carbonation, slight head build up. Citrus aroma dominates with hints of caramel and floral hops. Very sweet beer, perhaps too sweet, at least for my taste. Medium body with a smooth texture. (233 characters)

Wife works for bud and brought this home from work..... hate it but I'm not much of Belgian guy anyways more of a stout and sour type guy. Though it looks great and pours good, it lacks a lot of quality (202 characters)

Clear dark gold, almost amber color. White creamy 2 finger head, lasting 2 -3 minutes, with thick legs.

Aromas and flavors of fruits, citrus, clove, and herbal spices. More sweet than sharp, very flavorful and perfumed , but with a slight alcohol taste.

Slick light body with ample carbonation. Short but well intensified finish, ending on the sweet side with a fruity aftertaste.

Overall : Fresh and tasty, but a little too much for a pale ale, taste more like a wheat beer or tripel. (488 characters)

Bottle says best by 05/06/15
Don't know how old it makes it but it's been sitting in my fridge for close to a year.

Tried a bottle of this a year ago and hated it but kept it around to see if age did anything. And this could be my palate changing but it isn't half bad. Nothing special here but a decent clove with a slight banana flavored beer. I remember the aftertaste being unpleasant before but now it is very smooth and enjoyable. (438 characters)

An excellent lager. Great flavor. Not over powering.refreshing. Such a superior choice over run of th mill domestic. This is what the big breweries need to survive against the onslaught of craft breweries out there. This import competes nicely against local craft. An excellent beer. Readily available almost anywhere in major cities in the USA. Great go to choice when craft is just not available. (398 characters)
