A beer I found in Sweden and Denmark. It'ssmoothhh as I have drank four.
One of those beers you buy when you need a change for a day rather than the type of beer you usually drink.
There is something in the taste of this batch that was not on track, or my taste buds were nott on track....?

On tap in Sweden/Denmark. Bottle in US!

A: two and a half fingers of crazy fluffy white head on top of a clear amber body.

S: the nose is pretty one note with some bready notes.

T: the flavor is pretty sweet with just a hint of bitterness and there is some serious yeast flavor. There is a bit of a pepper flavor.

M: the body is lighter with perfect carbonation.

D: seriously solid drinkability, which is just really refreshing.

This beer's appearance is like an elite power forward and you have to give it props because it can get its head above the rim. This is especially impressive for such as a mass-produced InBev offering. But it's not all about the Belgian penchant for protein control that makes this a pretty good beer. The smell is classic Belgian as well, full of bubblegum and clove with a nice crystal malt backbone to work off of. Those yeast byproducts appear in the flavor as well with some evident hops presence and a nicely apparent nuttiness. The bitterness starts at the back of the mouth, but moves forward and reaches the tip of the tongue as the beer warms. The caramel in the nose turns to honey on the tongue and leaves the beer a bit sweet, really muddying the wash and leaving a mouthfeel that was not impressive. This one made a promise of a refreshing beer and fell short by turning up the sweetness. If they could dry this one out a little it would be really nice. As it is, it is decidedly NOT one of the best Belgian pales, but I still like it better than Stella Artois.

This beer pours a clear golden color with a bit of bubbly head that laces fairly well but leaves little retention. The aroma is somewhat skunky with some grassy hop notes. The taste starts with some malty sweetness and the moves to some flowery and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is fairly smooth and finishes clean. A great summer beer.

This is a world famous beer, but I was not impressed with this at all. It is way too sweet, especially with food. The color is yellowish copper, and the smell is not so great. I don't taste much hops in this beer, very malty. I definitely won't be trying this beer again.

11.2 oz brown bottle--->Oversized wine glass,
best before printed on label.

A: Pours a clear golden color with plenty of
carbonation. Large off white head, leaves nice
lacing with good retention.

S: A strong aroma filled with fruity yeast and
hints of herbal hops.

T/M: Sweet with a yeasty taste which goes down
smooth. Bready malts come through with a less
noticeable hop presence. The finish is mostly
sweet with a hint of dryness. The taste of alcohol
comes out as the beer warms.

O: An OK Belgian Blonde Ale for me. Seems a
little too sweet for my liking with this style. Also
needs to be less filtered.

Light amber in colour with a very nice, foamy white head with good retention and some light bubbles rising to the surface.

Quite clean and light smelling. Hints of bread and perhaps some pepper but not a lot else to be honest as it is quiet bland.

Again quite a clean taste with a mix of coriander and pepper accounting for the majority of the flavour. It finishes with a spicy yet sweet & warm aftertaste.

Medium bodied and again pretty smooth. Very drinkable but by no means a session beer due to the high alcohol content that is apparent in the drink.

A rather nice drink that goes down quiet well although it is most certainly lacking in smell. I thought it would be a lot stronger prior to trying this one but it was very drinkable.

A 750ml bottle with a BB of Dec 2011. Sealed with a cork and cage, and capped with foil. This particular bottle has been stored in my garage for a while.

Poured into a Stella chalice. A clear golden-amber hue with plentiful carbonation. A column of fine bubbles rises from the centre of the glass. Produces a massive head of white foam that lasts for several minutes before reducing to a surface layer. A sweet aroma of bananas, cloves and esters.

The taste is sweet, with various yeast esters contributing to its composition. Notes of banana dominate, along with cloves and a hint of alcohol. Faint sour flavour, but little bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, leaving the palate slightly dry. Mildly sweet aftertaste of fruity esters.

A decent mass-produced belgian beer that I enjoy drinking. It's a bit too sweet and lacking in complexity for a traditional belgian blonde, but not bad. Worth sampling if you've never tried it and makes a good introduction to belgian beers.

A: Pours an orange tint with a fluffy white head and visible carbonation bubbles.

S: Smells of light bread malt, cloves, yeast, and banana.

T: Starts out with cloves and banana with hints of Belgian yeast. There is some slight sweetness along with a bit of hops.

M: Light with ample carbonation.

O: Very good beer. Would be easy to drink a few without any issues.

Appearance - 2 fingers of white fizzy head can see lots of carbonation. Body is a very clear bright straw orange.

Smell - Little weak in the nose but I'm getting fruits and clove and other peppery spices.

Taste - All the clove and spices come in here to make a nice zesty flavor the fruit that was in the nose can't be tasted though I think it gives it a nice sweet after taste and very balances this beer out.

Mouthfeel - Not all the smooth with the high carbonation but it still a good feel thats not rough in anyway. I could slug this down easy very quaffable.

Overall - Was very impressed with this was thinking I'd get a more mild brew glad I got it and would get it again. That said go grab one and see for yourself.

Aroma: lots of clove, nice sweet fruity aroma as well (juicy fruit)

Appearance: Clean/clear golden color, small clean bubbles, white foamy head

Flavor: Spicy, (clove and pepper). The small bitterness, medium alcohol and med-high carbonation dry out this beer which I think would otherwise be considered sweet.
Still has the overall impression of sweet (which is balanced with the high spice) and the slowly drying finish, slight alcohol warming.

Mouth feel
Medium-Full, creamy, and a dry bubbly feel,

A: Clear golden orange. White head foams up well and takes it’s time to settle, leaving an above average lace.

S: Sugar cane, coriander, apricot, pepper, light booze, spicy cinnamon.

T: Light bread, orange, orange zest, coriander, pepper, manger, hay. Spicy and sweet with a restrained complexity

M: Medium body with a light spicy/sweet finish.

O: A delicious and accessible blonde. I've had a lot of luck using this beer to introduce novice beer drinkers to the style.

poured from a bottle into a pint glass

A- very clear, light straw color, bubbles rise from the bottom consistently, pretty good off-white head that sticks around.

S- Scent is slightly yeasty, I didn't get a lot of other aromas here, maybe slightly peppery/spicy

T- Taste was fresh and crisp, pepper and spice are most evident, slightly subdued belgian yeast character also evident.

M- Light bodied, mostly dry finish, very crisp

O- I think this is a nice beer that I'll return to on occasion, but it doesn't have a defining characteristic for me. There won't be an evening where I think "It's a Leffe Blonde evening" but if it's available, I'll drink and enjoy it.

A golden colore beer with good carbonation and a faily desent white head.
Aroma was spicy and inviting hops are very light
Taste is light and refreshing with a well balanced malt hop character, remember this is Beligum pale so it is not overly hopped. There is a spicy yeastiness too that I pick up similar in my opinion to most beligum yeasts.
Smooth and balances with a slight alcohol kick
Good beer.

Appearance - White one finger head with low retention. Crystal honey gold body with a small amount of visible carbonation.

Smell - Very banana and wheat, like a hefeweizen. Something sweet like honey or ripened fruit.

Taste - A bit acidic and sour with a fishy and/or copper aftertaste That aftertaste renders this beer completely undrinkable.

Mouthfeel - The best part about the beer. Full and very carbonated.

Overall Drinkability - The only reason I'd ever have this beer again is just to make sure it wasn't a bad bottle. I suspect that's not the case though. Best before end 26/05/12. Numbers below that are 4922:22.

A: Poorly retained foam head with some clinging residue, light carbonation action, honey colored
S: Fruity malt overtones, slightly grainy, slightly yeasty
T: Very sweet, malt dominant, bready. Still somewhat uninspired. Not much character but refreshing & easy
M: Rounded out & smooth, light-medium bodied
O: Easy enough, a stereotyped, approachable interpretation of the style but nothing distinguished

A - Looks just like apple soda. Very bubbly white head and lots of riding carbonation strands, just like soda.

S - Smells sweet and faintly grainy. Honey-like sweet scent and light bread grains.

T - Sweet and light on the palate. A very standardized flavor in this beer. Commercial flavor would be a good term I've seen thrown around about this beer. Its tasty but its very light and mild. Faint touches of sweet, grainy and very mild alcohol present. Similar taste notes to a light summer wheat beer.

M - It says it's full bodied but its very light bodied. Heavier carbonation leaves the tongue a little tingly. Carbonation comprable to soda.

O - This would be a very light session beer or a thirst quencher in the summer.

I poured an 11.2 oz bottle into my tulip glass...

The liquid is clear and golden with a thick white head that stuck to the glass. It smells mostly of clove and banana with hints of grass. The taste is mostly clove, Belgian spice, some sweet bread and an aftertaste that resembles hay. The beer feels a little syrupy at first until the soft carbonation fills the mouth. It finishes slightly dry. I don't know why the bros gave it bad reviews but I thought it was right up there with you're average, quality, Belgian Blonde.

11.2 oz bottle. Part of a 6-pack from Grocery Outlet, Salem.$7.59 Light gold coloured beer, huge white frothy head on first pour. Nice aromas orange, clove, hay, dough ,fruity Sweet taste, candy sugar, clove though breaks it up,green apples, a little "barn" funk. Ok on the palate, the carbonation helps preven this from becoming too cloying Overall i liked it. NOt bad at all, given the horrific treatment this has probably been through.

Appearance is a golden amber with a thick head that dissapates slowly leaving nill lace. Smell has a light belgian spice aroma, earthy and light fruit. Taste has a sweet spiciness with a zest of lemon or grapefruit that settles out into the subtle hops and finishes dry. Mouthfeel is light with good carbonation. Not a bad belgian blonde, but I think I could only handle one or two at a time.

Bottle poured into a glass.

A: A clear amber with a thin white head and impressive lacing.

S: Bubble gum and spices in the nose.

T: Sweet coming and going, not cloyingly so. Very low (not discernible) hop character. Toasty and biscuity malts.

M: Tingly carbonation on the tongue.

Bottle served on the Celebrity Solstice cruise ship.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color with clear glden yellow edges when held to a light source and a two finger frothy, pillowy white head. Great retention, only slowly fading into a thin lasting cap that leaves chunks of soapy lace behind.

Earhy aroma with lots of zesty spice as well as some sweet alcohol and crisp light fruit. Lots of zesty pepper and coriander along with earthy straw and lemongrass notes. Pale malts with subtle light fruit in the nose, mostly apple.

Medium bodied with a nice balance of zesty spice, sweet crisp light fruit, earthy hops, alcohol qnd bready yeast. There's a very prominent spice character up font with lots of zesty pepper, coriander and lemon zest that lingers throughout. This is countered mid-palate by a strong bread/yeast character that adds cmplexity and fullness to the body. Hintsnof wheat, banana, and lemon peel as well as some faint apple and pear. Decently balanced and easy to drink especially in the warmer months but not something that I would regularly seek out. A nice introduction to Belgian beers.

Bottle picked up at Total Wine in Alexandria. Served in a Hill Farmstead wine glass.

Pours a somewhat hazy golden-blonde color with a great looking white head and plenty of lacing as it goes down. The nose brings forward some light peach followed with a large banana presence and a bit of clove and bread. The flavor profile is quite similar, though the banana and bread are the most prominent here. The body is light and a bit chewy. I wasn't expecting much from this but it was quite good.
