Stone fruit and lots of malt. A good winter beer.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Clear deep golden colour, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma of white kandij sugar syrup, ripe bananas and dust, hints of green peppercorns and ginger. Sweet flavour, notes of white kandij sugar syrup and malt sugar, with a much needed counterpoint in spicy notes of green peppercorns, ginger and moderate hops. Might well have another one, but not necessarily in the same session.

L- A rich and quite deep golden amber. Clear, pours with pillowy 3Cm off-white head. (There is no sediment in the bottle). Hed holds well, forms lacing.
S- Is has that pungency of a Belgian heavy ale, with spicy notes.
T- Spicy notes with that Belgian monastic style. There's a fleetingly dry facet with a richness to it too that also reveals a gap, a lack of depth/complexity.
F- Rich, aka a little sweet for me. Too rich to be refreshing.
O- Disappointing. Somehow a 250ml bottle suggests something so special it has to be rationed. Instead I sense something a bit over-sweet, without the complexity you'd likely get from a Belgian Dubbel.
Dinky 250ml bottle. Bought from Beerhawk/UK. BB: 12/07/20

De Hopt. En copa Grimbergen. Jugando a Hollow Knight. Correcta. Menos especiada de lo que esperaba y con mayor presencia de frutas confitadas. Se bebe sin problemas pero pasa algo desapercibida

From the bottle, it pours a clear orange-amber with a nice head, lasting a while. Lacing. Bready in the nose, followed by a very hard to describe taste. Interesting bier!
