Very fancy looking beer that delivers what it promises. It´s delicious and complex. Also very affordable in Mexico. One of my favorites.

Poured from a 750ml corked and caged bottle into a Duvel Tulip.

Pours a nice bright prance color, similar to a west coast style DIPA with that glowing orange hue to it. BIg head that recedes rather quickly, but leaves some lacing down the glass. Aroma is strong baked apples, clove spice, and some caramelized orange peel/ candied orange peel. Has a pastry like bready quality to it. Malty but also nicely acidic with a clean and crisp finish. Mouthfeel could be a little brighter, more along the lines of a Duvel would be ideal. Has medium carbonation but high carbonation really would do this beer better. Great for pairing with foods, and probably as versatile as hefeweizens in the beer and food world. Overall, this is a nice brew, worth grabbing a bottle or two. I believe it comes in 6 packs, at least here in switzerland, but the champagne bottle format is really cool, especially with the blacked out bottle and gold foil.

I'm a fan of the other Leffe products and was pretty excited to try this one. 330ml bottle, black and gold label. Poured into a Corsendonk glass.

A: A perfect blend of gold/amber, a rich appearance.... minimal head that sticks to the glass.

S: Very similar to Leffe Blonde, not very strong. Picking up on some orange and spice.

T: Again similar to the blonde, at first. Sweeter and richer though, again the orange, and a nice alcoholic finish. Very well balanced.

M: Surprisingly full, light carbonation, a little dry.

O: The bottom line is that if you are a fan of the blonde and the brune like I am, this is a must try. If you don't like those products, then this one probably won't do it for you either. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

33cL bottle (6pack)

A: gold- to slight tanned, very clear, lingering head
S: grain, caramel, fruit (banana) and cloves,
T: bit tannic, husky malty grain, some oak? some hint of vanilla, has got some whisky-like finish. hint of alcohol sweetness
M: very elegant touch, finishes dry, with a hint of sweeness
O: as i put it, this beer has some finesse to the taste. it does NOT have the strong phenols of the blond that i tasted. a good beer.

I like Leffe , it has a good reputation it scores well in bars as they have easy accessible uncomplicated brews steers the young clear of the terrible mass produced lagers.
Orange brown colour, creamy head, nice carbonation. Great lacing.
Citric aroma, a little bit of banana in there. Also some pine.
Taste is quite bitter. Crisp clean finish.
Pretty good beer, actually. It's balanced with sweet and bitter, it's refreshing and has a pleasant aftertaste as well.
