Posh looking .75 litre cork and caged bottle poured into 3 Leffe stemmed tulip/chalices on 20th Dec 13.
Looked fine, an orange hue to the golden almost clear body, with a white covering that hung around: nicely carbonated, you could see the bubbles rising through the beer.
It went a bit downhill after that: the aroma was grainy and slightly fruity but as the beer warmed it became metallic and not so pleasant.
The taste also went iffy as it warmed a little, started off crisp and sharp with a semi-sweet lead it then turned on me; again being metallic, the alcohol also became apparent in the mouth.
Drink it fast and cold or not at all.

Poured in Orval glass. Light amber colour, with off-white head that shrinks fast to a small layer with some little islands.
Smell has big banana, cloves, some artificial fruit candy, yeast and some malts. Big and bold, but not really my thing. Would be better if it was slightly more subtle.
Taste: cloves. A lot of them. Some yeast, followed by a nice bitterness. Then some malts, and fruits (dried apricots). Not bad, but not very complex and very in-your-face on the cloves.
Mouth is medium, nice carbonation, just the right amount of tickling on the tongue. Very drinkable.
This is not a bad beer, but it has a very pronounced profile that you'd really have to be into to fully enjoy this beer. I'm not, and I could do with more subtlety and complexity.

A: yellow-amber colour, small head, clear
S: orange, pineapple, banana, some spice, a lot of sugar
T: sweet, bready, there is some orange and banana, hint of hops, alcoholic finish
M: dry, undercarbonated, alcoholic
O: while it doesn't taste or smell that bad, it's just not that enjoyable because it's undercarbonated

33 cl bottle Poured into my lost abbey stemware glass
Very nice colour, deep golden, light amber with a huge three finger head on top, white in colour, thick and creamy. Very good retention after losing its 2/3 of height. Average activity in the glass.
Light aroma of dark fruits and yeast , cinnamon
Taste is quite sweet and fruity, mostly dark fruits, plums, cinnamon ,some raisins too, with a slighty metalic aftertaste.
Medium body and high carbonation. Quite dry on the palate. Alcohol very well hidden. A good all day beer

Presentation: Brown bottle, 330 ml. The neck and the crown cap are wrapped with golden foil, bearing some crowns on it.
ABV 7,5%. Poured into a tulip at home.
Very nice colour, deep golden, very close to orange to be more specific, with a huge three finger head on top, white in colour, thick and creamy. Very good retention after losing its 2/3 of height. Average activity in the glass.
Light aroma of dark fruits and yeast.
Taste is quite sweet and fruity, mostly dark fruits, plums, some raisins too, with a slighty metalic aftertaste.
Medium body and high carbonation. Quite dry on the palate. Alcohol very well hidden.
A good beer but a bit overpriced for what it offers.
