Beautiful 1L bottle with a nice yellow-orange label, a raven clutching a coffee bean in it's beak.

Pours a solid black with a nice creamy-foam brown head. Lacing slides down the glass nice and thick.

Smell is a musty dark chocolate and espresso, delivering well on it's claim.

Tastes mellow and robust with an initial hit of bittersweet spicy espresso forming into juicy chocolate with a slightly dry, earthy, and toasted finish. Lingers nicely.

Feel is thick, smooth and rich, with a slight tartness.

After awhile this one's a bit cloying and sweet.

This is a memorable brew from the Yukon. Presentation is nice and inviting, and they have combined stout and espresso very well. I had this with soft pumpernickel and butter, but this would be remarkable to finish a juicy gravy and roast as well. I will be seeing this one several times over this coming fall and winter.

Its deep cola brown body appears black when the glass is full. A finger's worth of wispy khaki coloured head doesn't have much stick and neither does the lace.

Freshly ground coffee beans and roasted malts compete to be the most prominent character in the nose where there is no clear winner. The latter gives off a dry, slightly smoky note. Silky milk chocolate and cocoa powder really come through as well. Chocolate covered raisins come to mind. Vanilla beans compliment the smooth chocolate character and round out the nose quite nicely. It's not the most pronounced coffee stout I've put my nose to but it is one of the more complex ones.

Roasted malts and coffee beans possess an equal weight in the taste. They come in unison, drying out the entire palate with a roasted, slightly smoky, and subtly bitter quality. These qualities have a dark chocolate backing to them. There's a touch of vanilla and berry sweetness mixed in with the chocolate as well but their presence is faint.

The body is light to medium with a clean feel and dry throughout. The soft creaminess is much appreciated. I like stouts to carry more weight to them and at 6.2% ABV, this one definitely has room to pack more of that in.

Overall, a good and clean coffee stout. The coffee is easily detectable but isn't over powering and is balanced nicely with the rest of the qualities of the beer. If the weight was there in the feel, this would have been great. I still enjoyed it nonetheless.

Pours a one finger mocha colored head that disappears really quickly. Lots of lacing. Black body. Looks nice, shame of lack of head though.

Sweet milk chocolate with coffee, vanilla, caramel notes. Slight peppery aroma... okay. Bit of alcohol smell as well, weird for a beer with only 6.2% ABV.

Coffee, espresso, chocolate, vanilla, and malty notes on the tongue. Delicious. Despite the smell, there was no peppery or alcohol taste. Slight hop bitterness, bit heavier on the malt side. Really good.

Creamy, silky, smooth mouthfeel. Nice carbonation.

A nice espresso stout from Yukon Brewing. My first beer with them, and so far it seems great. Despite the questionable aroma, the taste was fantastic.

A dark, wicked brew poured into a pint glass with little or no head retention. Smells of coffee, chocolate and caramel tones and I also get a slight alcohol on the nose. The taste is beyond your wildest dreams and packs quite the wallop. I find that this is truly a winter warmer and being that it's from the Yukon, they need all the help they can get! When you don't see the sun for weeks on end and the snow is piled up past your roof, you want to be drinking this while nestled in your Snuggie next to your fireplace.
