Clear light gold with pink tints, served with a white head, good retention… very little lace was produced. The nose was pleasant and inviting even though the bouquet was akin to cheap winey raspberries. No further development. Refreshing but one-dimensional taste… raspberries, lacks complexity… kind of like a wine cooler. Clean finish. The wheats only influence seems to be in the thinness of the body. Drinkable. Firm enough carbonation. It just doesn’t have enough “beer” qualities to make it enjoyable. Bearable.

Based on the rest of my experience at Jaipur, this was a very pleasant surprise. I am not usually a fan of fruity wheat beers, but I kind of liked this one. It was subtle.

The beer was served in a Jaipur shaker pint glass with a slight pinkish hue to the otherwise golden color. Clarity was excellent. Served with an inch-high head, but the retention was kind of lame, and lacing was just average.

The smell was fairly nondescript. A very subtle raspberry flavor over a generic grainy sweetness.

The taste was very surprisingly good. As a wheat beer, it wouldn't make the cut, but as a fruit beer, it was sublime. The raspberry flavor wasn't cloying, unlike many fruit beers which tend to beat you over the head with the fruit. It was just enough to add a pleasant flavor to an otherwise boring stripped-of-its-heart-and-soul American Wheat.

The body was light with a crisp carbonation. Fairly on the dry side with just a hint of sweet. Nothing cloying. Just subtle and very easy to drink. I would probably drink another of these if I ever return to Jaipur.

There was a tinge of red in the golden color of the beer. It was a fairly clear brew, with no real head and no lacing. The nose had a good bit of raspberry to it. The beer was a hair on the tart side. A bit of wheat taste in the fairly thin body. Somewhat refreshing and a good match for the Indian food in the restaurant, but otherwise not worth picking up.
