Beer pours a hazy golden color with a white head. This is the original craft beer from where I'm from so my rating is probably a little bias. It's a good wheat beer better than Budweiser.

First had at Blackbird Gastropub, Norman, Okla., on draft into tumbler. Hit the ground in Oklahoma and ordered "Krebs Choc 1919," thinking it would be a chocolate Porter. But this wheat beer was more than adequate to knock off the travel dust, starting well before petering out into seltzer water.

Pours pale straw with a solid head. Smells of dried apricot, coriander, and cracked wheat. There's more dried apricot and subtle spice in the flavor. Crisp graininess and clean dry finish. Mouthfeel is very light bodied and surprisingly creamy. Awesome.

P: Clear with a subtle haze over a pale straw color with minimal head.

S: Slight sulfur aroma, stale dried wheat, salt, subtle lemon esters and a metallic aroma.

T/M: Taste has a dull wheat presence with dried straw, metal, drying acidity, with a dry almost chalky yeast that doesn't seem to fit the style. Slight soap but not in a pungent delightful hoppy way. Light and spunky body that gets chalky towards the end.

O: This is just off for me. Comes across as a witbier abortion. Not something I will ever buy again. Funny thing is I bought this after I drank one a few nights ago. I had been drinking Westbrook White Thai then popped this open. It tastes much better after I had already drank a few Thai's. Oh well, lesson learned.
