Pours a golden orange with a fleeting off-white head. Very small dots of lace line the glass. Smells of apricots, grapes, apples, sweet malts and sugar. Tastes sweet and grainy with a big hit of coriander and a sour enveloping. Dry going down with a vein of lingering alcohol heat that grows as the beer warms. No big complaints here, and glad to see one of my local favorites continuing to branch out and create fun and interesting beers.

Pours cloudy gold-orange with two fingers of small-bubbled, white head from a pretty vigorous pour.
Saison aromatics of bubblegum, coriander, clove, and a dash of white pepper and honey are unfortunately somewhat masked by strange chalky/musty yeastiness that I find a bit off-putting. Hops are pretty background with a very mild spicy note. It's quite sweet for the style and completely lacks that ultra-dry finish and mineral quality that makes better Saisons so refreshing. A low-moderate level of carbonation makes the sweetness all the more syrupy.
I'm pretty disappointed in this one. One of my favorite styles from a local brewery...I was excited to try it. It's not terrible, but they missed some of the defining characteristics of the style, namely the super high level of attenuation and the generous carbonation. And the odd musty yeast character hurts the flavor profile.
