A: Hazy golden-amber body with an exceptionally attractive and creamy, durable head.

S:Smells like a pilsner with a slightly high malt/hops ratio.

T - Starts mildly bitter but bitterness starts building in the finish. Mixed hops (Euro hops?) throughout but no strong hop note other than an unfortunate long-lasting, earthy bitterness in the aftertaste.

M: Medium-light body, medium-high carbonation.

O: Decent, but leans to the less fruity and more earthy ends of the APA spectrum.

The OPA is decent...I'm not sure I got a fresh bottle or not. It was off the Binny's singles shelf. The beer seemed as thou it was going to be an over primed bottle....but I was able to pour it without much flare up. The beer poured a slightly hazy gold with decent white head that is leaving a lace. The smell is more malty than hoppy. The taste is a okay....I believe this is call a pale ale because of color....not so much as for hops used. The mouthfeel was medium in body with big carbonation. Overall its a good beer. I'd like to try it again just to see if the bottle I had was extra primed.

Into a pint glass. Two finger of head, good lacing. A dark and cloud straw colored body which looks really nice up to the light.
It has a solid pine and grapefruit smell to it.
Taste pine and lemon. Varying degrees of bitterness but it's all bitter, and the good kind. Long-lasting after taste of pine tree.
Smooth, almost creamy, body. Low carbonation. Goes down easy.
A bolder pale ale, some might think it's an IPA. Pretty good and balanced.

Picked this up a Biergarten in Jenks, cheers Freddy!

Pours a chill-hazed amber with 2 fingers of cream colored head.

S: Some phenols & wet grains, breadyness, grapefruit & pineappple. Below average head retention & lacing

T: Sweet breadyness, some peppery notes & yeasty notes, grapefruit & slight grainy astringency up front. Finishes with much grapefrut & wet cereal notes

MF: Light bodied, slight carbonation, some warming & coarse notes

Not sure why this is called an APA, this has more of a Belgian/Franco slant to it with some American hops pulling it slightly away from that style

Easy drinker, the Belgian slant of this works for me...

Pours out to a generous white head that laces well and a deep orange-golden hazy color. Aroma is piney, spicy hops and whiffs of grass, dill and grains. Flavor is hop forward with pine, spice, grass and a solid malt backdrop. Mouthfeel is light, slick yet weirdly a bit astringent. Overall a solid choice, enjoyable but a bit rough and one-dimensional in some spots.

Method- Straight from bottle, Cellar temperature.

Appearance- Hazy, peachy, light amber. Cream colored head. Overall, looks nice.

Smell- Bitter, rich, piney smell.

Taste- Overwhelming pine tree flavor. A lasting, unpleasant bitterness. Becomes more bearable after a 2nd bottle. (and I typically like bitter beers) Imagine hops + pine needles. Not pleasant.

Mouthfeel- Pleasant, lightly carbonated. However, the ale almost coats the inside of your mouth with a slick feeling that won't go away.

Overall- Fails in one of the most important categories, taste. But hey, if you love the taste of earth and pine needles, this might be your holy grail.
The other categories are above average, but it's hard to appreciate the nice things about this beer when it tastes like your chewing up pine needles.
