Pours an effervescent & slightly hazed amber with 3 fingers of cream colored head. Never quite clears, superior head retention & lacing

S: Grapefruit, peppery hops, breadyness, pineapple & tropical fruit

T: Big time grapefruit, pineyness & a touch of peppery rye up front. Loads of grapefruit as this warms, more peppery spicyness, plus a bit of husky/astringent grainyness. Finishes with a flourish of grapefruit, some pineapple & a bit of woody hops with just a little breadyness lurking in the background

MF: Light/medium bodied with fairly assertive carbonation, alright balance

Easy drinker, was looking for more flavor depth, but worth a try, if you like em hop forward you will enjoy this

Appearance: Amber, orange in coloration with a 2 1/2 finger fluffy, white head. Beautiful carbonation.

Smell: Sweet and grassy. Good rye presence with just a touch of hop presence.

Taste: Wow. The rye sweetness is extremely well balanced with the slight bitterness of the hops. Some floral notes as well, but the sweetness of the rye component is really the star here.

Mouthfeel: Medium/Light bodied with just a bit of sharpness on the back of the tongue. Leaves that great tingly feeling on the tongue.

Overall: This is my first beer from Choc, and it led me right back to the store to buy some more from their offerings. Just an easy drinking, delicious beer that still has its abv up close to 7%.
