Pint glass.

Poured a burnt brown with a dirty brown head. Decent lacing. A nutty buttery scent starts us off. Some grain mixes with sweet caramel. Scents are satisfying but are not forthright in their presence.

Flavors start off sweet and full of creamy caramel. A transition to toffee and then a roasted grain flavor takes over. The grain was a bit overwhelming for a moment. Then a bit of hops and for the finish a very dry roasted flavor.

This one went down easy. The alcohol is well hidden and there is no burn what so ever. A medium bodied dopplebock, which does not leave one feeling full.

Easy to drink and quite refreshing. I recommend trying this beer out when visiting the pub. (699 characters)

Sampled from a week old growler poured fresh off the tap and kept refrigerate for a week.

Beer pours with a low tan head over a deep chocolate brown body with ruby highlights.

Aroma is slightly buttery with caramel and alcohol so intense as to slap your nostrils silly.

Flavor starts with caramel and nutty malt that quickly transitions into a growing roast that eventually overwhelms the malt and leads to a strong dry finish that leaves a mildly sour and bitter hop break on the tongue begging for the next sip. (522 characters)

Draught at the brewpub as "Lobotomator Doppelbock," 7.1%ABV. Dark brown with a beige head. Roasted malt and caramel aroma. Dark fruits and sweet roasty flavor with some nuts in there too. Full mouthfeel. A big, malty doppelbock, but a bit too much for me, and the drinkability suffers for it. (292 characters)
