On-tap 8/4/13 at the brewpub in Willimantic, CT, served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is faint but contains caramelized malts, some citrus and some hops.

T: The taste starts out very bready with a hearty malt character for the style. Then some mild caramel and citrus sweetness comes in. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly bready.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to session with for a long time.

A - poured with a small head of white foam on top of a clear, golden body. The head dissipates quickly and leaves average lace.

S - light, sweet malt and a hint of herbal hops.

T - sweet, grainy malt and some herbal hops with little else going on.

M - medium body moderate carbonation, and a slightly sweet finish.

D - not real complex, but well made and beyer than average for the style.

At the brewpub. After being stricken ill for almost two days, this beer tasted really good.

A: Certified gold is certified, by me, as a golden copper color. The palest and clearest of the current offerings. A wispy white head came along with the ale.

S: The nose is yeasty, clean with fruit aromas mixing with the biscuity malts. A simple ale, no frills but solid.

T: The taste mirrors the nose with a little more sweetness. Biscuity grains support a mild yeasty sweetness that has fresh apples as a supporting actor. Toasted malts shine throughout. A nice start to my Willibrew experience.

M: The mouthfeel is clean, malty and sweet. A flagship, no doubt.

D: It's not long on pizzazz but it sure does down well.

Poured a light copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a light noble hop spice and a soft bready sweetness.

The taste consisted of thin, grainy malts and a residual hop spice.

The mouthfeel was thin and a bit watery.

Overall a decent, easy drinking ale.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one poured a clear golden color. It had a small white head on it, that left minimal lacing. The aroma was a bit mild. Some malts and grassiness. The taste is along the same lines. Some malts and a pinch of hops. Slightly sweet taste. Clean and easy to drink. A decent brew.

Bright golden ale that is balanced with Munich malt and Goldings hops, also a touch of Hallertau hops for aroma. 4.7% abv was just right for my wife. I tasted it, and maybe because I need my brew to step all over my tounge, I found it a bit watery and weak. She had 3 of them but I feel if there were other options along the same line she would have switched.

L: Pours a nice golden orange color with a short and medium bodied white colored head that laces the glass all the way down.
S: Smells of sweet toasted malt and a nice hop flavor at the end of the nose.
T: Tastes of a really nice base of sweet toasted malts, and then a nice hoppy flavoring at the end.
M: Very smooth, fresh, refreshing, perfect carbonation.
D: Very drinkable beer. I would have had another, but I wanted to see what else they had to offer!

The beer pours a burnished gold, topped with a thin covering of mist. The head diminished to a thick ring around the glass, with some wisps of head braving the middle. Not bad for a giant mug with a lot of open area on top.
Aroma is light and sweet, with some lightly grainy pale malt. A touch of toasted malt, with a touch of estery, fruity apple. Balanced german hopping. An herbal, citric hallertau aroma. Very nice.
The beer is light, yet flavorful. Mild pale malt up front, with a hint of toasted or low lovibond crystal malt. A moderate appley esteriness creeps up in the middle, providing an excellent compliment to the mild malty sweetness. Very mild hops come through in the finish, providing a mild herbal bitterness. The estery fruitiness continues into the finish, completing the sip with a mild herbal hopping. Some apple and mild pale malt in the aftertaste. Light bodied, with fluffy carbonation.
Very easy drinking, this is certainly Willibrew's "non beer snob" offering. Unlike most other brewpub's "non beer drinker" beers, this one is actually quite tasty and interesting, containing subtleties and enough flavor for even an experienced palate. My only complaint is that I haven't tried this before.

I was really impressed with this ale. It was a bright gold in color and had a very pleasing hop aroma - very floral and well balanced. The taste was sort of a mix between a pilsner and a pale or india pale with the same unintrusive hop flavor accented by the Munich malts. It also had some flavor notes reminiscent of a wheat ale. Overall, a nice, light, well balanced brew with great characteristics
