The beer is a hazy amber gold, slightly coppery, topped with a creamy, thick cask head. There was an actual hop leaf sitting in the bottom of my pint, which was really cool. Great lacing towards the top, until the head diminishes to nothing about halfway through.
The aroma is dominated by a raw citric hoppiness, amazingly fresh smelling, almost exactly like sticking your nose into a bag of cascade hop pellets. Amazingly clean. Some grapefruit, with a bit of pine. A mellow pale malt, with a touch of rye coasreness takes up the rear, with minimal pear and apricot esteriness. Very clean, particularly the hops.
The flavor starts with a rich, full bodied pale maltiness, mixed with some husky coarse rye. A bit of toastiness, with mild estery pear and apricot coming through just before the hops kick in. The hops, while only moderately bitter, have a wonderful flavor, nice and citrusy, pure cascade with an incredible cleanliness. The finish is pretty much all hops, with a pleasant, but not overpowering grapefruity taste, and plenty of malt to back it up. Some toastiness and lots of resiny, citric hops in the aftertaste. Mild rye comes through again.
A really great beer, particularly on cask. Very clean and well brewed, with incredible hopping. The malt is strong, with a full, rich mouthfeel on top of the casky creaminess. I guess my only complaint, if i have to make one, would be that I'd like a little bit more fruitiness, and the rye doesn't really come through as strong as i hoped, but it's one hell of a beer. Definitely worth a pint or two. (1,564 characters)

Hazy tawny hue, thick bubbly lace with a decent retention. Light floral and citric hop nose with a hint of soft maltiness. Crisp and thirst quenching with a moderate body. Light maltiness lets the hops come through. The slight spicy rye character plays off the hop bitterness a bit, bitterness is semi aggressive with tones of citrus. Touch of spicy grainy rye in the finish. This is my favourite out of all of the house brews. (427 characters)
