growler sent by goodbyeohio--the koolest kat in CT. I appreciate it a ton Jimmyb. consumed 3/14 with a buddy who unexpectedly showed up. Drank at cellar temp.

Pours a light amber or hazy peachish color with a one finger frothy white head. excellent retention throughout the entire pint. Sticky thick lacing left down the glass. Aroma is totally fruity. Grapefruit, melons, apple rind, orange peel, and a hint of pine to round out the nose. Slight champagne notes--or better yet, they may even be slight Belgian aromas. Grassy hop notes come through with a swirl of the glass. Very sweet caramel malt notes are there, but play a supporting role.

Fruity hops with a slight grassyness to them. Grapefruit, melon, and apple peel fruit flavors all burst on the taste buds. Juicy and thick on the palate at the start leaving a syrupy residue on the lips. Resiny mouthfeel lasts into the finish. Nice long bitterness that's not overly pronounced, but definitely there like a lurking tiger in the bush waiting to pounce. Toasted grain and biscuit malt notes with a sweet caramel base, which may contribute to the sticky thickness of the body on the palate. Excellent balance with a complex hop profile. Another great brew from Willimantic--cheers to the assistant brewer for creating this potion. Slightly high 8.5% abv goes completely masked by the hops. I like this brew a lot. Thanks a bunch Jimmyb....I owe you.
