Thanks to Josh for picking up a growler of this for me.

A different take on the traditional IPA with the use of Pilsner malt for the base.

A-Slightly hazed copper kissed golden amber with a thin bright white head. Head holds on and leaves spotty lace.

S-Initial pop of spicy pine followed by accenting notes of fresh citrus all supported by the underlying mild sweetness of the Pilsner malt. Somewhat muted overall but what I do get
is quite pleasing.

T-Quite spicy, followed by light citrus and a touch fresh cut herbs. The malt base kicks in and mellows things out with biscuit sweetness.

M-Medium-light bodied, fairly sharp and crisp with good lingering hop spiciness.

O-An easy brew for the hop lover like me to enjoy. Plenty of hop flavour sitting in a light base of mildly sweet Pilsner malt. Nothing overwhelming in this one but the sum of the parts come together to form a well done offering.

Got a growler of this at the brewery yesterday after sampling everything they had on the board while eating lunch. Definitely my favorite offering from them that day.

Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy straw to barely golden with a 1 finger white crown that shows moderate retention but good lace.

Smell: Very bready, with nice german bittering hops, grain, and a hint of citrus hops.

Taste: Same as the nose but it comes together better and is more pungent.

Mouthfeel: Super crisp and enjoyable.

Overall: Very drinkable and tasty!

Another great IPA from Willibrew. This one's different, in that it uses all Pils malt for a lighter color and cripser mouthfeel, than their other IPA's, but still burtsing with citrusy hop flavor and aroma. Like the last reviewer stated the 7% ABV is barely perceptable.

Brewed with 100% Belgian Pilsner malt and hopped with Magnum and Palisades hops this unfiltered hopped up beer will grab your taste buds if you like a brew with a sweet taste. 7%abv was barely noticed, hidden in the sweetness.

I don't know if it was because this was my 4th draft of the day but the more hoppy IPA Squared, Derailed Mail IPA, Downtown Willi India Dark Ale all tasted better to me. Perhaps I need to give this one another try because this brewery knows what it is doing.

Thanks to Kegatron for sharing this growler with me.

Poured a clear caramel amber with 1 finger of foamy eggshell colored head. Good retention and nice lacing lines. Smells of pine, citrus, caramel, and grain. Tastes of grapefruit, pineapple, honey, and grainy malts with a solid grass and pine resin finish. Medium in body with good carbonation. Crisp and sweet with a nice bitter finish. Very interesting with the almost Pilsener-like feel but as is the norm with Willibrew, you cannot go wrong with any of their multitude of IPAs and this is no exception. Very easy to drink and definitely worth a pickup.

From a growler filled at the brewpub into a pint glass.

Pours a slightly hazy coppery amber with a finger of eggshell white colored head. Great looking retention that flares up nicely when swirled, leaving a solid cascade of lacing behind. The aroma starts out nicely, with a blast of fresh smelling and piney Palisades hops that then gives way to some rich citrus character and tell-tale bready Pils malts.

The taste is once again a nice robust mix of resinous, spicy, and a touch herbal feeling hop profile that is well balanced by a strong backbone of bread and caramel that really stands out and last well into the backend of the profile. The hops return in the finish, with a lingering bitterness that just seems to curl the tongue. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a crisp and prickly carbonation that also contains a good bit of slick hop oiliness that floats in and out of the feel.

I liked what Willibrew was shooting for here and it turned out really well! The Palisades hops used really imparted a fresh and strong hop profile that the Pils malts countered nicely with a beefy backbone and crisp carbonation and feel. Really solid stuff here that we had no problem polishing off.
