Visited Willimantic Brewing Company tonight for dinner and beers and was very impressed with everything. Situated in a high ceilinged buiding that used to be a post office, the atmosphere is fairly unique. Still retains much of the original architecture and even some of the PO boxes of the post office, which is pretty cool. the bar side of Willibrew is nice and cozy with a nice long bar and a fair number of tables. The tap list is impressive, featuring around 6 of their own brews and at least 15 guest brews which included the likes of Thomas Hooker, Dogfish Head, Olde Burnside, Brooklyn, etc. The restaurant area is very spacious, and split into a few rooms filled with nice wooden tables. Service was very good and surprisingly attentive, even ona very busy Satuday night. Food was probably the best I've ever had in a brewpub. I ordered the Parmesan encrusted tuna rare and my girlfriend had the Rockville Ribeye med-rare, both arrived fresh and exactly as ordered. We also had the baked onion ale soup as an appetizer, which was incredibly flavorful, cheesy, and delicious. The beer was great of course too, the highlight being the Willi Whammer Barleywine...mmm. (1,173 characters)

By far the best brewpub I've ever been to. Usually places like these make really mediocre beer, but not Willimantic. Their beers are actaully really well done, especially the hoppy offerings. The place is seated in the heart of Willimantic, close to ECSU and UConn, located inside of a retired post office building. High ceilings and a lot of tables, outdoor patio, and a long narrow bar define the establishment. Food seems pretty decent, a lot of good menu items with some beer related sides. Strongly recommend. (514 characters)

Great selection, extremely knowledgeable staff, fantastic food. They have an incredible selection of their own, plus many other craft brews. Well worth a visit (159 characters)

Willi Brew is a must stop for me when visiting family. Always amazed at the selections of brew offered up either from their own collection or from guest breweries.
The food has always been first rate. No complaints at all!

Huge bar and dining area.

Every Time I walk in I am reminded of standing in line with my Grandfather to buy Stamps. Owners have done everything possible to retain the original architecture of the old Post Office that was build in the early 1900's. (473 characters)
