The Fox is a nice pub located in Belden Village in a plaza near some clothing stores and restaurants. The first time i had gone in here for beer I was kind of surprised by the lack of options. They have Great Lakes, Sierra Nevada, and some Sam Smith but other than that and you are drinking 'adjunct lagers' my friend! I can't bitch too much because I could drink a beer here if necessary but I would rather go down the street to the Winking Lizard Tavern and have myself a proper pint! I will say this place does have a very nice atmosphere and if they at least carried one or two more decent beers I would probably come back more often. But until then I would rather just go to another bar that has better beer! Hell the little Hole in the Wall bar down the street from work carries better beer on draft than this place, but at least they carry something that is worth drinking!

being the pool shark that i am, i have visited the fox on more than several occasions. the last time i was there was right before the smoking ban, so i don't know what they'll do with their impressive cigar selection. when you walk in you are greeted by a couple pretty girls that ask for ID, etc. then step into the main restaurant area. wooden floors, walls, a cigar humidor to your right, and straight ahead a 30ft long shiny wooden bar backed by lots of mirrors with an ok tap selection and above average bottle selection. almost anything regularly available that you'd wanna session, they have. there are two billiard/lounge rooms flanking both sides of the bar, one is green and one is red. literally. projection tvs play music videos and sporting events, plenty of high top tables, and cocktail waitresses who are always eager to refill your glass or bring you another bottle. they have beautiful fresh cut flowers and a mouthwash dispenser in the guys bathroom (be careful you don't use the soap by mistake- they're the same color haha). the food is typical decent pub fare, nothing outstanding but no complaints about quality.

This Fox and Hound location is located in the Everhard Road plaza. The parking lot is huge so there should never be a problem finding a spot.
Inside, you really have to squint to figure out how it's an "English Pub". It looks a lot more like an upscale pool hall. The space is divided in 3, with the 2 outer sections devoted to pool tables and the center to the bar and restaurant. The bar is in the back center with a lot of mirrored shelves full of liquor bottles. TVs line the entire bar area too.
The beer selection is fair. The tap list is actually pretty lame with a lot of macros and common English beers (Boddington's, Guinness etc). The bottle selection is a little better, with multiple offerings from GLBC, Thirsty Dog, Theakston, Anchor and others.
The service here is consistently good, both at the bar and in the restaurant. It is nice to pick out a cigar from their humidor, play pool and have someone bring you a Siberian Night.
All in all this place really does not hold a candle beer-wise to Winking Lizard a mile or so away, but it does make up for it in other ways. Might be worth a look if you are passing by.
