This brew comes in a nice 750ml bottle with a good spiel about the drop on the label and it pours a reddish, copper hue with beautiful carbonation that leaves behind a two finger creamy head and a rim of lacing, the smell is very much like a fine pinot noir with also some aromas of woodfire, smokey bacon and candied limes,on taste its vanilla, oak, peated scotch malts, smokey woodfired bacon, earthy pinot noir and finshed with a touch of dark fruity dryness and overall its definately a good drop and perfect for a cold night.

Hazy, red-brown colour with a creamy, tan head. Poor head retention.
Mild smoky and malty aroma. Light vanilla and fruit notes. A touch of oak.
Smooth maltiness with a lovely undercurrent of smoke. Quite fruity with moderate oaky vanillins. Interesting and certainly it works better in the flavour than the aroma.
Medium body with moderate carbonation. Fine.
A solid effort with a smoke beer where the barrel adds a nice roundness to the beer.
