This is a review for the beer being brewed and sold in Canada. Not to be confused by the American version "Black Crown"

Poured a dark golden and amber colour. Decent head.

Smell was ok. Not to strong. Not off putting.

Taste was noticeably stronger then Budweiser. Almost had a "German" beer taste to it. Little bit of aftertaste.

Mouthfeel was almost what it should be. Plenty of carbonation.

Overall I wasn't dissapointed. I was expecting something better then the regular, but nothing world class. Thats what I got.

Budweiser Crown brewed in Canada from Labbat
So the look of it, not much difference than the Budweiser a bit more amber.
The smell of it You smell the corny more on this one than the original one.
The taste of it. A bit stronger than the Budweiser on the taste due to that higher ABV. The after taste stays more than the Budweiser. Feels less watery.
So overall would I recommend it ? NO. For the price that you pay for a Budweiser Crown, you better go for a Budweiser at a cheaper price.

Why do swill brewers insist on brewing 'craft' beers? They don't work.
This beer pours a dark golden colour with a fingers worth of head that quickly dissipates. Smells like watered down sake. Taste is refreshing, but so is water. Not much flavour. At least it is not offensive. Mouthfeel is overcarbonated, like soda. Overall, not a good beer. Glad I only payed a couple bucks for the can.

Had a pint in an authentic Bud Crown glass at a Calgary pub. Sheer morbid curiosity. More of a dark gold than a true amber color, with an anemic off-white smattering of head and an oddly fruity, doughy sweet aroma that reminds one of play dough, red licorice, and some sort of artificially flavored banana hard candy. Palate includes some of these fruit candy type features along with faint grass, caramel (even more faint than the grass), cardboard, and sweet dough with surprisingly moderate carbonation. Thin bodied as the appearance might suggest and finishes doughy and sweet, any hops or hop extract essentially neutered. An archetypal mainstream amber/red lager that happened to arrive on the scene wayyyy too late; this sort of beer is why this style has such a spotty reputation but I suppose if these guys wish to brew something besides fizz water, this is going to be a logical starting point.
