Gold foil. Simple label. Unusual for Labatt's, this one doesn't try to cater to the masses in the same manner as their other beers.
Pours nice gold straw, a head that fizzles quickly. Pretty average-looking stuff.
Smells a little malty, but other than that, the smell lacks any sort of defining character.
Mouthfeel--crisp crisp crisp.
But--ahh... a nice crisp taste that will impress you, epecially because it comes from Labatt--the last place I usually buy beer from. The malt is there, not too overstated. A fairly average bitter finish, not too prominent.
I could drink a lot of these. In fact, that's pretty much the recommending factor--a macro that can be enjoyed with friends who aren't interested in drinking beer from anyone outside the big breweries. My soon-to-be wife's family drinks these on Christmas morning (just the men while they cook breakfast, mind you) and I look forward to it (mostly because it's not something rotten like Wildcat).
But a warning--still just an average beer. But, a good beer from Labatt's. That's rare enough.

This beer poured out as a clear golden yellow color with a fizzy white head on top that leaves a very light scattered lacing on the glass. The smell of the beer has some grainy aromas as well has some moderate hop aromas too. The taste of the beer was average to say the least, it had some sweet grains to start then it went into a dry bitter finish. The mouthfeel of the beer was carbonated nicely and was very drinkable at least. Overall this beer was ok, I can't really find much to rave about over it though.
