A: Bright golden color with a well formed head of white foam. Medium to medium high levels of carbonation. Minimal lacing in the glass.

S: Grassy notes of grain and bread. Slighly sour, but not overpowering or annoying.

T: Middle of the road flavors; mild buttery malt, earthy grass, minimal hop presence.

M: Slightly thin. Goes down watery, and the carbonation doesn't hang around very long, leaving the beer feeling kind of flat.

D: Average. I'd go for this from time to time.

I found this single 12oz brown bottle at the Binny's in Plainfield, IL for $1.19.

The beer poured a clear pale gold color which I guess you could call blond. It only made a 1 finger white head that dissipated in less than 30 seconds and only left minimal lacing on the glass.

The smell was a mix of bubblegum sweetness and barnyard hay. It wasn't horrible, but nothing pleasing either.

There isn't much flavor to this. It also isn't as sweet as it smells. In fact it is actually on the dry and slightly bitter side with even a touch of mild alcohol coming through.

Light and dry mouthfeel with only moderate carbonation.

This is not a very crisp, refreshing summer beer at all. I didn't care for it.

Poured from a 12 bottle into a pilsner style glass. Decent amount of carbonation but no retaining head. Mellow golden color. Scents of artificial sweetness. Tastes like corn syrup and a honey humped and this is the love child. More honey than just high fructose corn syrup. Boil this down put it on your pancakes with butter. Color unimpressed.

Dark yellow with a foamy whit head that leaves a little bit of lace on the glass. Tha nose is cereal grains with just a touch of spicy hops. This beer is slightly above average for the style because it has just a little more hop flavor most I encounter. Otherwise it is very typical indeed. Light bodied and effervescent. An easy drinking lager. Pleasant enough but nothing to write home about.

I picked this one up at Quick six in West York, PA. Poured chilled into a tumbler from the 12oz bottle.

A - Pale golden /straw w/ 1inch of snowy white capping. Modest lacing coats in rings

S - Mild maltiness in the aroma, crisp sweet cereal notes w/ light floral hop notes

M - A highly carbonated moderately thin, crisp and clean feel w/ a gentle malt sweetness

T - A tasty light malt flavor w/ low adjunct, modestly gentle hop seasoning which is slightly spicy. A nice mild toasty flavored malt w/ a taste of malted corn and a finishing flavor

D - A basic blonde -pretty easy to drink but forgettable, not a bad beer for the price

Initial thoughts; Summer Blonde eh?

A. Poured into a shaker glass. Fizzy, white bubbly head recedes to a small ring. Golden in color.

S. Sweet corn and elusive malt. Grassy.

T. Uneventful, yet unoffensive flavor. Gritty serial grains and a light tea like hop to balance. Malt is there coupled with a cooked veggie taste.

M. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation and a lingering adjunct aftertaste.

D. This drinks easy, but for a "Blonde" it may be the worst ive ever had. For a macro lager its decent.

above average appearance in that the snow-white head is thick, creamy, long-lasting...laces wonderfully...color is a decent golden/straw

smells is interesting but nothing outstanding...sour mildewy wood (not a 'bad' thing...), meaning earthy. loam? something sharp and almost burnt. a sweet maltiness finally comes through

finally meets the tongue and a pleasant sweetness that is surprisingly peppery, due to the carbonation (alot). somewhat crisp, but the effervescence seems to block the flavors that (if there) might come through. still, this is simply macro. tastes like a quality light beer (even though that is oxymoronic). very drinkable and would prefer this over most american macros...good to take to a party (this variety pack of honey lager, summer blonde, summer ale and lager/lime). i'll stop by Iron Hill and get some hopilicious for myself....and those brave enough for it!

Out of the bottle this beer was a golden yellow color like the morning after a session. You know what I mean. The head was tight and foamy, a white cap that displayed nice retention and scattered lacing. The aroma was subtle but pleasant, semi-sweet with hints of biscuity malt and some citric hops giving it a combination like cookie dough. The flavors were not quite as appealing, though inoffensive and generic at first as it warmed up the macro-lager flavors began to shine through. The body was light/medium and the carbonation on par so it was drinkable. Considering I picked it up at $2.99 a six-pack it was stellar! But otherwise...

Poured a bright golden color with nice initial white puffy head. Poor retention. Quickly fell to thin coating.

Smell has a slightly sour characteristic.

Taste in very light, so much so as to be almost non-existent. At least there is nothing bad.

Poor taste retention. Leaves very litle at the ending.

Another lawnmower beer.

Standard gold with a fairly decent, sticky head.

Smells like buttery white corn, mild fruity tones.

Taste: Could be Labatt Honey Lager without the honey. Mouthfeel is heavier and creamier than most macrojunk. Light, sweet, slightly buttery corn mingles with some mild grain and a whisper of hops. Somehow "cleaner" feeling than many adjunct-laden brews. Bland but not awful.

I wouldn't turn down a free one, but wouldn't buy it either.

if you're a macro drinker, try this beer. high specific gravity; malty but probably some adjunct in there. nice hop finish, yet suffering from the metallic taste like all us/cn macros.

it's not a pour down the sink lager, which is what i was half expecting.

finishing the warming bottle, it shows its sweetness, which as a veteran drinker i'm having some repulsion. give me light malt and hallertau.

if you find a good light us/cn pils or lager please message me.

thank you, sudz in maine

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 11.5oz. or 340ml. bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: It has a light golden cooler with a thin, white colored head that fades quickly. Little to no lacing is left on the glass. It also, has very good clarity with visible carbonation.

Smell: The aroma has a light leafy/floral hop presence with a light skunky odor as well.

Taste/Mouth feel: Its flavor has a funky herbal or leafy hop taste with a slightly grainy and biscuity malt taste. The finish has an over cooked hop bitterness that slowly fades off the tongue. Its body and texture are light and thin with an active level of carbonation.

Notes: Overall I was not impressed by this beer.

Labatt's is not my favorite, but tried their Summer Blonde recently on a hot august day and it hit the spot. It's appearance is pretty average -- golden with a foamy white head. The smell is sweet & malty; the taste the same with a good amount of carbonation. This beer is what it is and nothing more. If it's hot outside and you're lounging by the pool, you can't go wrong with it.

Appearance: Clear gold, good head.

Smell: Skunky and some wet hay.

Taste: Corn and more corn. A little bit of grass hop at the end.

Drinkability: Could probably pound these if nothing else was around. And someone else was paying for them.

I've tasted beers that had corn-type flavors before but this one is like biting into an ear of sweet corn. Other "corny" beers usually have too much sweetness or off flavors or too much booze, this beer does not do that, but just gives you a liquid ear of corn to drink. Pretty strange.

A: Poured a golden color with a small white head.

S: This beer didn't smell like anything special, though it did have a more hoppy aroma than I expected.

T: This beer was pretty flavorful, at least more so than I expected. This beer should really be qualified as a pils. There was a nice dryness and some noticeable hop flavor.

M: Far to thin and bubbly.

D: I liked this beer overall. It was a nice, albeit bland summer blonde. At the price, I would pick up a case of this for a summer party or just to drink while grilling.
