It looks like your average light beer - light gold, almost no foam or lacing. Very translucent. The smell is decent. It's mostly unsweetened lime-citrus that finishes with that familiar american light lager malt that's slightly sweet. The taste follows the same pattern as the smell. Mouthfeel is thin and glossy on the gums and tounge. Drinkability is nice; lower the price and I'd love to see it in a 24 pack. Better than Miller Chill or Bud Light Lime.

Taking Labatt Blue Light into a clear bottle and adding lime flavor to it, let's follow suit we have to compete with Bud Light Lime, Miller Chill. Who thought of this, forget real lime wedges, let's just add the lime flavoring before it's bottled. Clear bottle pours into a Hoegaarden glass with a pale straw yellow color and quickly fleeting fizzy white head. Aroma has some faint background cereal grains, with lime peel citrus fruit pretty match masking any possible hops/malt tones. Flavor is water mass produced tasteless unoffensive lager with lime flavor added. Again much like adding actual lime to carbonated water, maybe a splash of Labatt Blue for color. Watery texture, high carbonation brings on lime burps. Drinkability I could drink one or two but give me a Dos Equis/Pacifico with a twist of lime if I'm going for mass produced imported beer with lime. I just don't see the point of these breweries making every variation of the same beer just to take up shelf space from brewers who actually deserve it.

Side-by-side with Bud Light Lime. For science!

It looks nearly identical, a crystal-clear light gold. The color is very slighly darker than the BLL. The head pours the same, though, pure white and dead within 20 seconds, no lacing whatsoever. As with BLL, 1.5 because at least it started with something. Bubbles cling to the glass until it's gone.
The lime smells natural enough with grains supporting. The only detectable difference is that dusty grains come out just a little more than in the Bud. Exactly the same, though, is the clean lemony fresh dish detergent that comes out after a few minutes.
As light as it gets, which is expected. Apparently there's something about macros with lime that makes them watery and slick at the same time. Weird.

Pours a bright golden yellow with a ton of carbonation rising to the top. There some loose, soap-like head that quickly fizzles away. The nose smells like grains and artificial limes. The flavor is sweet, grainy, and finishes with a faint lime flavor. There's something chalky and powdery about the flavor that's off putting. The mouthfeel is very light and very crisp.

This is not a good beer. The other light lagers with lime are better. I definitely won't have this again.

I hate to disrespect a brew by coming to it with preconceived notions, but I have to admit that I pretty much knew what to expect of Labatt's take on light beer with lime.

On the other hand, it is slightly different. Just slightly. The lime is bright and sweet in the nose, and it's not quite as acidic as it is in the flavor of some others. And it not quite as malty as one offering. In a blind taste test between Bud Light Lime, Moosehead Light Lime, and Labatt Blue Light Lime I could spot each of them readily, but really, what would that mean as they're all just variations of the same thing?

I feel that all beers have their time and place, and this one is no different. The only thing I find surprising is that Labatt let Moosehead beat them to it.

It pours watery yellow, with a petite soapy head that dissapated rapidly, much like Oakland Raiders playoffs in 2014. It had the taste of fake limes and malts, with no much of any other taste. Went down super smooth, left the palate wet, and was not filling. No edge, light body, and a lime aftertaste.

Termed just "Blue Lime" on this label; still 4%...

Pours a washed out yellow colour and looks to be a bit flat. Not appealing.

Blue Lime doesn't really smell like beer at all...more like a glass of Perrier infused with a bit of alcohol.

Mildly refreshing, BL also doesn't taste like beer. It tastes like a lime. This is not acceptable.

Mouthfeel is average, but too carbonated.

Overall? Not impressed!

Poured from a clear 12 oz. bottle. Has a very pale yellow color with a small head. Smell is of limes, nothing else. Taste is also of limes, slightly sour, no other notable flavors. Feels light in the mouth and has good drinkability. Overall this makes for a mediocre beer.

From the 24 fl. oz. can no. C14R1106:27. Sampled on May 11, 2011. The pour is olive-yellow with a fizzy, bubbly head and tons of carbonation. The aroma is lime to the extreme, almost as if I squeezed a lime right into it. You can barely find anything close to malts or hops. The body is thin. The taste is also lime to the extreme almost like a lime-flavored soda. Ah well, the can was cheap enough.

Pours clear pale gold with a small white head that was gone before I could walk down the hall to my computer. Some feeble laces decorate the glass.
Smells like lime.
Tastes like lime. Really a lime flavored sparkling water. Crisp and refreshing.
Mouthfeel is typical of a light lager.
Has a lightly dry finish. And except for the appearance it is nothing like beer. A good choice for those folks who don't like beer.

A: A pale straw color with a very thin line of bubbles on top.

S: Actually a pretty nice fresh lime aroma.

T: Very sweet and all lime. You get exactly what it says on the label. Just lime. No malt or hop.

M: Soda feel. thin and carbonated.

O: Actually one of the better lime lagers out there. In the category of light lager it's just ok. But in the category of lime lager, I would say it's a 4.

Labelled as "Blue Lime," but the alcohol content is the same so I'll assume it's likely the same beer. Needed to get this outta my fridge - 341ml into a tulip.

Very pale yellow with a fairly large white head - several fingers in height. Modest lacing and a thin layer of retention. Not really attractive, but I guess it's pretty decent for a macro light lager. Nose has some grains and cereal and a whole load of lime juice. The label tells me it's 'natural' flavour, and it almost seems believable. Some lime tartness/citric acidity wafts from this. Tastes like a watered down lager with some lime flavouring. Some unpleasant cereal-y malts, not-so-nice bitterness and citric/lime acidity. Very light and highly carbonated, oddly refreshing (? - maybe it's because I just got off work...). Not horrid, but not desirable - certainly exceeded my expectations. Would'nt revisit this, but it's certainly preferable to some other macro lagers in terms of flavour.

A- Pale, clear yellow with a thin white head, and minimal lace.

S- Limes! Hints of rice and corn and light malt.

T- Tart lime in front, underlying caramel, slightly sweet undertone, corn, light malt

M- Thin and watery, crisp and refreshing,

D- Easy to drink, especially on a hot day, but nothing spectacular. bud light lime did a better job on this.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light yellow color, with a thin white head that fades quickly and doesn’t leave very much lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains a lot of lime along with some light malts and adjuncts.

T: The taste starts out with a sweet lime flavors, but not much after that. There’s a very thin malt character and almost not hops presence. Theirs is some balance but that’s only because there isn’t much to balance out. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: A little crisp and a little smooth, very light body, medium-to-high carbonation, finish is clean.

D: Not very flavorful, goes down easily and not filling at all since there isn’t much to the beer beyond the lime flavor, very mild kick, this is definitely one of the lightest of light beers, but overall it’s not very good.

A - Pours a dark gold with a two finger head. Left a good amount of lacing.

S - Smells of lots and lots of lime, followed by some salt and lemon.

T - Lime up front, lime in the middle, and lime in the back. Salt and malt make it's way into the mix in it's slightest variation.

M - Medium to heavy bodied with medium carbonation.

O - Overall, this is the best of the lime beers ( Between Bud Light Lime, Radler, Michelob Lime Cactus, and this ). It would make a great 24oz can to take out on the boat in the summer.
