A: Pours a lighter yellow with two fingers of foamy head. Settles to a ring around the glass within minutes and didn’t really leave any lacing.

S: Tons of lime. Not much of anything else but what do expect when you buy a lime beer.

T: It’s all lime. It’s actually lighter on the taste then the nose which is good.

M: Light carbonation with a light body.

O: I didn’t mind this light beer. I would prefer it to most other lime beers.

I hate to disrespect a brew by coming to it with preconceived notions, but I have to admit that I pretty much knew what to expect of Labatt's take on light beer with lime.

On the other hand, it is slightly different. Just slightly. The lime is bright and sweet in the nose, and it's not quite as acidic as it is in the flavor of some others. And it not quite as malty as one offering. In a blind taste test between Bud Light Lime, Moosehead Light Lime, and Labatt Blue Light Lime I could spot each of them readily, but really, what would that mean as they're all just variations of the same thing?

I feel that all beers have their time and place, and this one is no different. The only thing I find surprising is that Labatt let Moosehead beat them to it.

Poured from a clear 12 oz. bottle. Has a very pale yellow color with a small head. Smell is of limes, nothing else. Taste is also of limes, slightly sour, no other notable flavors. Feels light in the mouth and has good drinkability. Overall this makes for a mediocre beer.

Closing out my albany trip with a six pack

A- clear as day brew. A classic light lager look with carbonation

S- rice and lime. Very clean cut and crisp

T- lime and light. Take it like that. The classic canadian pilsner with the lime blend that completes the cny/can profile. Very much expected

M- light and crisp

T- look... You can have a good time in syracuse with this brew. It represents the local connection in the area for a great time. You will be able to put many down!

It looks like your average light beer - light gold, almost no foam or lacing. Very translucent. The smell is decent. It's mostly unsweetened lime-citrus that finishes with that familiar american light lager malt that's slightly sweet. The taste follows the same pattern as the smell. Mouthfeel is thin and glossy on the gums and tounge. Drinkability is nice; lower the price and I'd love to see it in a 24 pack. Better than Miller Chill or Bud Light Lime.

Poured from can a pale yellow with a bubbly head that fizzled out like soda. Smell of limes, corn and other roasted grains.
Taste was a bit like a labatt light beer mixed with 7-up. Very watery and crisp bubbles. refreshing I guess but not my style. Trying to hit a niche here and it will work for some who are fans of this style.

Pours clear pale gold with a small white head that was gone before I could walk down the hall to my computer. Some feeble laces decorate the glass.
Smells like lime.
Tastes like lime. Really a lime flavored sparkling water. Crisp and refreshing.
Mouthfeel is typical of a light lager.
Has a lightly dry finish. And except for the appearance it is nothing like beer. A good choice for those folks who don't like beer.

A - Pours a dark gold with a two finger head. Left a good amount of lacing.

S - Smells of lots and lots of lime, followed by some salt and lemon.

T - Lime up front, lime in the middle, and lime in the back. Salt and malt make it's way into the mix in it's slightest variation.

M - Medium to heavy bodied with medium carbonation.

O - Overall, this is the best of the lime beers ( Between Bud Light Lime, Radler, Michelob Lime Cactus, and this ). It would make a great 24oz can to take out on the boat in the summer.
