This beer was a lovely red-brown color with a one finger head that died slowly, leaving a lot of lace on the glass.

Its aroma was sour, with medium-bodied malts, slightly acidic, and tart, with some cherry-like notes. Quite complex and multi-layered.

Taste was tart with a hint of sweetness, and no fruitiness at all. Definitely a sour ale.

Mouthfeel was light and crisp, very refreshing.

Drinkability was quite good. Not too expensive, good bosy, nice taste if you're in the mood for that type of beer experience... yes, I would revisit this one readily if the store I got it at had more than the one bottle.

On tap at Monks Cafe in Philadelphia, had to try their own specialty.
Reddish brown color, off white head. Lots of bubbles but not a really thick and creamy foam, good retention, stringy lace.
Smell has some sour cherry sweetness, and a little yeasty funk. Taste is smooth, with a complicated sweet and sour fruitiness. There is some sour tartness on the tongue, but not the biting vinegar sourness I was afraid of. A touch of wood or oak, earthy. Smooth mouthfeel, low level of carbonation make it easy (too easy) to drink. Tiny touch of alcohol, but adds rather than detracts from the complexity.

Dark brown pour with some garnet highlights and a two-finger off-white head. Aroma is sour and almost vinegary. Taste is sour upfront with some dark fruit and light brown sugar flavors. Cherry, plum and prune flavors come through very nicely backed by a touch of oak. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes with a really nice tart cherry and brown sugary flavor.

Appearance: This beer poured a reddish brown with a huge fluffy tan head. Lacing present throughout

Smell: Wonderful smell of tart, dark cherries and wood.

Taste: Nice sweet, tart and sour taste of cherries. Starts off sweet and dives into a nice sourness. Has a nice oakiness which helps cut the sourness. Also has nice hints of citrus. The sweet and sour is balanced well.

Mouthfeel: Heavy mouthfeel with high carbonation.

Overall: Fantastic sour in my opinion. Nice too sour but rather well balanced with the sweetness.

Pours a hazy cherry mahogany with a tall light tan head that quickly recedes, but is easily revived with a swirl.

Aroma is overripe fruit, maybe raspberry and strawberry, and funk with spice. Flavor is a rounded comforting sweet malt base with barnyard funk and substantial but balanced tartness giving way to a dry finish.

Medium body with foamy carbonation. Starts with a slightly sticky sweetness, but ends dry.

Solid Flanders sour ale.

11.2oz bottle into a pinot glass.

Instantly hit with strong aroma of apple cider. Slight reduced vinegar on the nose.

Mahogany in color with some lacing. Big head at first and quickly falls out.

Sweet apple cider on the palate. Sweet on the tip of the tongue and more herbal towards the back.

Mouthfeel is pleasant. Very spritzy on the tongue. Very pleased with the long after taste.

Rather drinkable. Would pair wonderfully with hard cheeses. A great beer for someone who may think he/she is too good for beer.
