This is the house beer for the famous De Garre pub in Brugges, Belgium. Brewed using traditional Belgian triple base with three times the amount of malt allows the brewer to achieve the 11% ABV.

L: pale gold, orange wine, creamy foam, you can enjoy just eating this foam
S: sweet orange, a bit of alcohol
T: sweet orange with a finish of alcohol
F: lasting sweetness, not very pleasant, can feel quite some alcohol
O: efinitely a high quality tripel, a bit hard to appreciate because I am not a fan of the style. For that resaon, I probably also prefer some other representatives of the style more. L and S promise more than T and F deliver.

Simply incredible. Explosive pour. Huge head. Slow fade to a light covering. Scads of lacing. Golden amber. Lightly cloudy.

Nose carries lots of sweet malt. Apples, grapes and Belgian yeast funk. A touch of hay and a hint of farmhouse. Light grassy hops and a nice peppery bite.

Taste is superb. Pilsner malt, honey, and the light fruits from the nose. Mild and delicate hops give just enough bitterness to balance what is a sweet, malty backbone. Alcohol is nowhere to be found. Remarkable. A hint of mint in the finish is the only clue.

Feel is a lighter than you could ever believe. Crisp and supple, with a rich creaminess. Perfect carbonation.

This is a one of a kind beer. It sets the standard.

Flight Amber and color with a thin frothy white head. Nose is kind of sweet. Taste is also sweet. ABV is not as evident as one would expect. Good beer.

Got this at the café in Bruges. They sold bottles to go, which was a lovely surprise.

From a 33cl bottle into my garre goblet
Best before 22 March 2026

APPERANCE: Pours a 3+ finger, thicker looking, creamy and foamy, bright white head with excellent retention. Gamboge orange in color with lots of carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a thick, full, foamy cap and leaves chunks of foamy lace on the glass. Foamy cap remains until the end leaving lots of nice laving n the glass. Beauty, just like it was at the mecca in Bruges.

SMELL: Big nose of barnyard aromas, straw and hay, green apples, pears, citrus aromas, and some spicy aromas from the yeast. Bold and enticing.

TASTE: Big and flavorful with caramel sweetness, some toffee, citrus flavors, green fruits like apples and pears, as well as some barnyard and spicy yeast notes at the swallow. Bold finish of spicy yeast, hay flavors, caramel sweetness, toffee and some boozy character linger on the palate. Wonderful stuff.

PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. A little foamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes somewhat dry on the palate. Some spicy alcohol lingers.

OVERALL: This is a lovely, lovely beer, and with the matching glassware, I do have to say I’m in beer geek paradise. Lots of solid phenolic qualities and a big, caramel sweet malt base. I will admit that it was creamier and smoother off the tap at the café, but this is a minor complaint. If you get the chance to visit the source in Bruges, do so, and bring a few bottles home with you. Cheers!

Profuse, long-lasting head. Orange gold color. Smell only of malt. No significant taste of hops. Minimal alcohol flavor under the clean, dry, malt flavor. Cider-like. Simple, but delicious.

Outstanding all the way around. Everyone on here is describing it well. The only thing I want to add is a found the beautiful head almost marshmallowy in texture right off the pour. Don’t miss this if you see it.

On tap at Novare Res, Portland. Long time want of mine, and certainly did not disappoint. Honey bread, fruity yeast ester, herbal hop, and warming alcohol abound. My favorite tripel to date, and that's saying something given Fin du Monde was one of the first beers that got me into craft in the first place

96/100 -- surprisingly the highest aggregate score of any beer I've had so far after 6 years of reviewing

Enjoyed on draft at Novare Res in Portland, ME

A beautiful and delicious tripel. Served with a huge and long lasting fluffy white head. Smell is yeasty with burnt sugar notes. Taste of banana, clove, and candied sugar - sweet but not too sweet. Alcohol is warming but not overwhelming. Very well balanced. A delicious beer and one of the finest triples that I have had yet.

Highly recommended!

750ml bottle into a tulip. Coded 17KU.

Looks magnificent. Hazy medium yellow body with a huge bright white head leaving a sheet of lacing.

Not much on the nose, a clean fresh aroma.

Excellent taste. Sweet with a light spice note. Smooth, clean. Light but with strength. Abv well hidden. So smooth but with a warming touch.

Mouth above medium, finish sweet, spiced and warming.

Overall, spectacular beer. So glad to be enjoying this one on a cool spring evening.
