Poured from a bottle into a tulip. It pours a nice amber brown, that is clear when held to the light. A 1.5 inch light tan head forms and slowly reduces to a nice lacing.
The aroma is primarily a dark fruit/malty goodness. Quite sweet, almost reminds me of bubble gum with just a twitch of sourness.
The taste is again quite sweet, with that caramel malty sweetness, combined with dark fruits. Just a bit of hop bite and a yeasty/bready goodness balancing it out.
The mouthfeel is medium/full bodied. There is a slightly high carbonation that cuts into the sweetness nicely. A crisp and dry tingle at the finish is solid.
Overall, this is a solid beer. A bit sweet for my liking, but solid in each of the components and overall enjoyable.
