A - poured into my Augustijn glass, the brew looks more like an apple cider than it does a beer. there are thick chunks of yeast floating around the dark yellow colored liquid. the head is a solid white that dissipates quickly.
S - the first thing I noticed is a crisp fruitiness like that of cold apples, not entirely sweet to the nose, still having a bit of sour. the sour might be expounded on as being more of a slight mull spice than sour. a small bit of alcohol as it warms up.
T - malts hit the mid-back tongue and add great body and robustness to the taste, while a ripe fruit and alcohol taste mingle on the outside of the tonge and pinch the cheeks a bit. hops and carbonation add a pinch of spice to the tip of the tongue.
MF&D - the carbonation is really great and the whole of the beer is a nice medium body. it is really easy to drink and the viscosity wholly complements the characteristics and tastes of the beer. not bad for my patron saint.
