I liked this beer very much from its red head to the tart finish. The appearance was of deep red velvet and the aroma was that sweet tartness that I would expect from this type of lambic. Mouth feel was medium with sweetness turning to tart. I would buy another if I had the opportunity.

Almost a straight medium red, it's a slightly lighter shade, definitely red but with a lighter pinkish shade in the light. The head likewise is pink-tinted, not quite a finger tall with pretty good retention and moderate lace mostly in spotting.
One sniff and I can tell this is one of those guilty pleasure-type Lambics, one of a newer tradition that can be crafted well but is for the palate that prefers it sweeter. There's depth, but it avoids the deeper elements that take more to appreciate. The focus is on the cherry, which is key, and there's lots of it. It's got a good mix of sweetness and tartness, both pretty powerfully. It tastes like an apertif in the middle and finishes sweeter like a sorbet. Unlike some versions, though, this beer lays down some sturdy malt to rest it on, and there's enough earthy and dusty semi-dry malts base. There's a very faint, not quite funky sort of note that speaks to its true nature. Tartness eventually overtakes sweetness, and ultimately this is quite flavorful.
The body is on the lighter end of medium, and the fizziness on the tongue feels like it needs to be constrained, but otherwise it's got some substance to it, along with ample levels of both crispness and smoothness.

Figured I'd try a lambic for a change. The only one's I've really had up to this point are the Lindeman's and a few others.
A - 3.75 - Rich brown - red color with a thin film of white bubbles on the top. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Pretty clear.
S - 3.50 - Cherry, a little sickeningly sweet, smells a little like the cherry cough syrup.
T - 3.75 - Little better than the smell, tangy, tart, cherry flavors. Definitely has a nice sour lambic-ness to it.
M - 3.75 - Light, alc completely hidden, very clean finish with just a little wine-like aftertaste.
O - 3.75 - Alright beer, I'd rather have a framboise, but I haven't had a lambic in basically forever, so it's all good!
