A- Poured into a tulip glass. Deep dark cherry color with a 1 inch white head with light pink highlights.
S- Good cherry notes. Starts with a sweet hit like a sugary juice drink but has a tartness coming in in the finish. Almost like a cherry limeade with a candy overtone.
T- Tart cherry up front. The carbonation in the finish rounds it out like a cherry soda. The tartness of the finish gets more and more intense as it warms.
M- It's like drinking a cherry soda with a little extra syrup to it. Syrup coats the tongue helping the finish linger for a while.
O- I have to say that because this comes across drinking more like a soda than a beer I have to say this is very tasty and very enjoyable. Plus I like the intense cherry aromas and flavors of it. If it weren't for the ABV I would have never guessed this to be a beer.

Cherish. Authentic Belgian Kriek Lambic, Brewed and bottled by Browerij van Steenberge, Ertvelde, Belgium.
Deep ruby coloring, nearly purple, pinkish head settles into a tight ring.
Mix of tart and sweet cherry notes in the nose, leaning on the sweet, heading into CandyLand, like a SweeTart, or, actually cherry kool-aid. Not much beyond that.
Taste: starts with a sour spank on the tongue, quickly matched with a cloying, almost sickening sweetness. Then, it vanishes. Poof! Gone, with only a little bit of lingering. Light bodied, with little character beyond this sweet/sour sensation.
A passable dessert beer option, especially if you find it at a nice price, but steers clear from being breathtaking. Clearly a syrup is involved here, we're getting little real cherry flavor, and none of the complexity of the great lambics. I'm being nice. It would be very easy to just say, "it sucks."
Just call me disappointed.

Had this one on tap. Served in a snifter. Reviewed from notes taken earlier today.
A - 1 finger of fluffy pink head. Crystal clear candy apple red beer. Lots of heavy lacing sticks around, so beautiful that the bf took a picture, ha.
S - pretty one dimensional. Syrupy sweet cherries.
T - Totally follows the nose. Sweet syrupy cherry taste. No more, no less. Really wish this one had tartness or funk. Just so sweet.
M - Light as air. Medium carbonation - just the right amount.
D/O - I find myself wishing this tasted more like actual cherries and less like cherry syrup, but it is what it is. Like another reviewer pointed out, great if you don't know your lambics/fruit beers. But if you do, you'll wish there was a bit more to this beer. However, I had no trouble downing the glass. It was drinkable, but I probably would pick something new before having this again.
