Pours a dark, cloudy, and purple/raisin color. 1/4 inch head of an off-pink color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of raspberry, sugar, and a hint of floral notes. Fits the style of a Lambic - Fruit. Mouth feel is sharp and tart with a crispness. Carbonation level is also average. Tastes of raspberry and sugar. Overall, no complexity, too sweet, but drinkable.

A - Pours reddish brown with half a finger of tan head. Head quickly fades to a collar and leaving some small spots of lacing.
S - Big raspberry aroma, with some fresh berry, some jam and a bit of raspberry syrup. Has a decent tart character and a faint funkiness.
T - Starts with a nice tart raspberry flavor that is quickly supported by sweet raspberry. Never gets sickly sweet though, or too much like soda.
M - Medium mouthfeel, a bit fuller than I like for the style, but not syrupy sweet. Would be nice if this were drier, but it isn't unpleasant.
O - For the sweeter end of the lambic spectrum, this is actually pretty good. I would prefer a much drier offering, as the sweetness and heavier mouthfeel take away from the refreshing feeling of a good lambic.

Appearance: Raspberry juice color with a huge head that sticks and laces like a champ
Smell: Smells like a pint of raspberries
Taste: More sweet than tart, the raspberry flavors come through strongly from start to finish; lots of residual sweetness
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: While not as cloying as the Lindemans Framboise, this one is pretty close in its sweetness; I would prefer a more balanced Lambic

bottle, seems like 10 oz. or less.
Mostly clear burgundy red color, white lacing from the get-go.
Smells of hints of candi sugar and strong, fresh raspberries.
Tastes of sweet candi sugar and tart raspberry juice.
Light body with bubbly carbonation like a soda.
As a fruity lambic, one of the best I've had. I'm not a fan of the style except maybe when looking for something to accompany a chocolate dessert, but as it goes this one is top notch for what it is. Just the right level of sweet to tart balance and it tastes like real fruit juice, not the syrupy equivalent that comes across in some other fruit lambics. If you're looking for a good raspberry lambic, look no further.
