Cherish Raspberry Lambic is a pleasant framboise with less flavour than many other beers of this type.

S: Tart raspberry aroma. 4.5

Bottle from Beer World of Largo, FL.

Huge aroma of raspberries. No sourness in the aroma. Some mild powdered malt notes as well. Reddish hued brown with a lazy bubbly white head. Sweet raspberry fore. Low carbonation. I don’t know the age of my bottle, but I suspect it is a few years old. It’s very mellow and more malty than I expected. Almost none of the sour notes of a true lambic that one would expect. It’s not even particuarly tart. It’s much better than my expectation though from a pure flavor standpoint. It tastes quite good if a little soda-poppy and watery in the finish.

Poured from 8.4oz bottle into 16oz goblet.

Appearance: Pours a bit of a pinkish/purplish caramel color with a small, quickly dissipating pinkish head that that leaves a thick ring of lace behind.

Smell: Smells of straight raspberries- no tartness or other beery smells. Only raspberry.

Taste: Begins with a candy-sweet raspberry flavor, finishing with a bit of sourness rounding out to more raspberry flavor.

Mouthfeel: Medium, syrupy body with sharp carbonation and a syrupy finish.

Drinkability: Certainly not bad, but there are many better raspberry lambics out there. This one tastes like it was brewed with fake raspberries and is a bit too syrupy, but it is still an easy drinker and will satisfy a craving for a raspberry lambic.

Pours a cloudy amber with thin white head. Has a very nice rasberry fruity aroma. Taste is rasberry some light malt. Palate is very nice light body, nice carbonation. Finish is very fruity mostly rasberry ending with a crisp tart flavor which helps to balance the sweetness and some light malt. Overall a very nice and refreshing lambic.

Deep ruby with a pink cloud of head.

Great aroma of fresh raspberry and belgian yeast, maybe a hint of malt in there too.

Full on raspberry taste with a lively mouthfeel.

Very refreshing and just straight up chugable. Not the best, but still well made.

A: Pours a nice red color with a slight amber tint to it. The head is a frothy white that stays at around 1/8 of an inch thick after it settles down. Nice Lacing

S: Smell is not very strong but you smell lots of raspberry and some bret funk.

T: pretty good. A little less sweet and viscous than Lindmans version but I think I like that about it. A little more tartness comes through and is quite enjoyable.

M: nice carbonation and goes down smooth. The tartness feels good in thins one.

D: I would buy and have this again. Would be very enjoyable with a good cheese cake or almost any dessert.

Finger of off-white head atop a garnet body. Laces some with decent surface memory.

Nose is tart berry... actually a lot of apple here.

Taste is quite sweet to balance the tartness. Not bad. I get 'sour apple' as much as 'raspberry', but still, decently enjoyable.

Mouthfeel is pretty nice-- not too prickly nor foamy, but the aftertaste is sticky... still, all things considered, not bad.

Decent framboise. Lambics can be hit or miss-- this one strikes me as all right. I dig the 8oz bottling-- the price point isn't prohibitive for the volume, and 8oz is plenty.

Originally sampled on 13 November 2002. I am writing this review from my notes. This is raspberry colored with a quickly disappearing white head. The aroma has a hint of raspberries. Unfortunately, the palate is a bit thin. So, it's nothing to go out of your way for.

Presentation: 8.4 oz. bottle into a snifter.

A- Reddish-brown, and fairly clear. ~1/2 finger of pinkish head, that fades rapidly to a thin smattering of bubbles.

S- Tart raspberries....that's it.

T- Sweet and tart raspberry. Again, that's pretty much it....one note, but enjoyable.

M- Moderate to slightly low carbonation with a medium feel. Slightly syrupy.

D- Nice desert beer that would probably make for some solid pairings. It's an easy enough drinker, though one would likely be my max, even at the 8.4 oz. size.

Future outlook: Not something to make a frequent repeat of, but worth getting some for having around for some desert pairings.

Ruby hued brew with pink 2 finger head and ample carbonation. Filtered.

Smells like raspberry sorbet.

Tastes like a raspberry sorbet, though with a slight cough syrup taste, but really good cough syrup.

Very sharp and effervescent.

I'm still partial to Lindemans. Theirs is a tad more sour, but this is still pretty delicious.

Poured into a Lindeman's footed flute. The color was a light brown, nearly orange color. Small head that held firm, not rocky, and no lacing. Smell is berry, though it is difficult to tell what type, some chalky odors come through. Taste is not where it should be. The fruit is barely discernible, the tart (not sour) flavor tastes like a cheap candy. Mouthfeel is kool-aid at best, very light. This is not enjoyable and I would not recommend it. I didn't lose any money on this one. The buyer at OUAV threw it in the box to get my opinion. I don't think they'll be carrying it.

This beer pours a nice red with a pinkish head on it. There is some decent lacing going on.

The aroma is heavy raspberries, it is very obvious that there will be some sourness to the flavor.

The flavor is sour and full of raspberries. Very good, so much flavor here. I think this would compliment chocolate very well.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

This is a very drinkable beer. The sourness might get to you if you are planning to drink a few of these in one sitting but I don't really think thats what this beer was meant for. The drinkability of a bottle or two is great. I'm glad I found a store that carries this.

From notes - enjoyed this earlier in the week with my sister-in-law at Christmas.

A-Pours a clear reddish brown with one finger pinkish head that leaves modest lacing on the glass.

S-Raspberries, ripe, sweet raspberries.

T-Nice balance of tart and sweet raspberry with some very mild bitterness. Very fruity and festive.

M-Very smooth and well carbonated.

D-I like the lambic style, especially raspberry. This is very good. I like that this is 5% ABV compared to some of the lighter ones.

App: Fuzzy/hazy and highly carbonated, the peach colored brew brings a decent white head, that's fairly standard for a lambic.

Smell: Banana Strawberry Yogurt comes to mind on the nose, with the slightest hint of raspberry.

Taste: Some banana strawberry like the smell, but some buttery/butterscotch character and even some sour biscuit.

Mouthfeel: Very sour with no bitterness to speak of and a medium body for a lambic.

Drinkability: A little funky, even for a lambic, the flavors seem a little off. This beer is very average, in an almost disappointing way. But it's not disappointing, because then it would be below average, wouldn't it?

Slim 8.4 oz bottle pours a very pinkish red with a fizzy bubbly head. This beer is a very light hue & translucent. The head maintains, which I find impressive for a lambic.

Smell is pleasantly tart & gets my taste buds moving. Not as powerfully sweet smelling as Lindemans.

Intriguing candy taste, but not to the sweet extreme of Lindemans. Carbonation hits your tongue first in a quick burst. After that, the lambic is light and sweet and fades away gradually, leaving your mouth with a very clean taste.

Bravo. I am very pleased with my Cherish Raspberry lambic experience. It would be cooler if it came in a larger bottle, but that's all I can complain about.

-crimson in color with a very clear body. there is a pink head atop this that doesn't leave much in the area of retention or lacing

-big time raspberry on the nose with a hint of sweet tarts in the background

-mmm...i love me a nice blackberry pomegranate juice squeeze! a little bit more of the acidity comes as the more you drink it, but overall that aspect is very mild

-it has the right amount of carbonation and a bit of dryness to it

-this is a fine beer and glad i tried it, but i don't really need to buy more despite the alcohol level of this juice squeeze

8.4 oz bottle purchased Feb. 2006

Pours a slightly hazy red with a small, fizzy head that dissipates to nothing in just a few seconds and leaves no lacing, though there are some streams of bubbles rising from the base of the flute to the surface. Smell is sweet and dominated by raspberries, but slight hints of tartness and yeast are present as well. Taste falls a bit flat. It is sweet, and is again mostly raspberries, but has a watery tendancy as well, and isn't very complex. Mouthfeel is thin, and has a bit too much overt carbonation, giving it a sharp feeling, but drinkability is pretty good. Not much of a lambic.

Poured with a slight haze and a ruby color. The raspberry aroma is wonderful, as expected. Taste is a bit too sweet. Not as sweet as Lindeman's, but I miss that traditional Lambic tartness. A good beer, but just ok for a lambic. The focus seems to be on the raspberry's rather than on the beer, where it should be.

This was recently on tap at my local beer bar along with the kriek. I didn't want to plop down $12 a pint so I picked up a bottle of both. I've been a bit hesitant to open the frambois because of my disappointment with the kriek, but it needs to get out of the fridge so here it goes...

A- Giganto head. Initial small pour into the glass resulted in an incredibly fluffy head that filled half the glass. It looks like a strawberry milkshake. After letting it sit for about five minutes, I now have an inch of liquid. Wash, rinse, repeat. with this one. The head like something in a cartoon. This is going to cost the appearance rating.
Head eventually disapates to nothing leaving a murky, dark-garnet colored body.

S- This thing smells like a raspberry. Open a container of raspberries, inhale. Same thing with a sour note. Good thing I really like rasberries.

T- I probably could have drank another beer while waiting for the head to go down on this. In fact, there sould probably be a warning on the label: "1. Pour beer into chalice. 2. Go get another beer to drink while waiting for head to disipate."
Prevelant raspberry taste with that sour lambic finish.

M- Pretty active carbonation- expected with the amount of head. Light to medium body that leaves a sour taste lingering on the side of your toung

D- Once you can drink it, its pretty darn drinkable. Like sour juice.

Glad this is finally out of the fridge.

I'll start off by saying that I don't really consider lambics to be beer. I know that they technically are, but I lump them in with other flavored malt beverages (like wine coolers, Smirnoff Ice, etc.). Therefore, I'm comparing this with those types of drinks, not with beers. With that said, this is what those drinks wish they could be. This poured a cloudy dark red. The head was thick and pinkish, but it didn't leave any lacing along the glass. The drink had a strong raspberry smell and a pleasing raspberry flavor. If you're ever craving a wine cooler, I'd recommend grabbing some of this lambic. It was the best fruity malt drink that I've ever had.

A- A be-e-e-ay-yootiful cherry red with a bubbly pink head. No lacing but a steady stream of carbonation bubbles.

S- Sweet, tart fruit. Smells like sweetened raspberry preserves, I can't get enough.

T- Oh my goodness. Like drinking not-quite-ripe rasperry juice. Sooo good. I want a gigantic glass of this. Sweet and tart and tart and sweet. Over the top goodness.

MF- Dances on the tongue. The crispest, cleanest tasting thing ever. Great carbonation, champagne fizz.

O/D- YUM. That is all.

A: looks like liquidy strawberry jam with a thin white head. Didn't see a pink or rose colored head that has been aforementioned in previous reviews.
S: sweetness, hint of funk, with an abundance of raspberry. Very inviting.
T: this ones an easy answer: raspberry! A sweet with a tinge of sourness. Like an apple tartness.
M: thinner than juice but a juice like consistency with light carbonation.
O: very pleasant and I would definitely buy this again. I also want to try the other lambics they brew.

Bottle poured into a tulip, split 3 ways

A: Ruby red pour yeilds a white fluffy 2 finger head.

S: Rasberries in a glass. This smells wonderful, bright rasberry notes with a small hint of funk behind it. This reminds me of ludens cough drops.

T: This is a rasberry bomb! Big fruit, sweet and crisp. One dimentional, but fun.

M: Very carbonated, lively on the tongue.

O: This was a suprise, a friend brought it over and I didnt have much expectations but it was a nice easy drinking lambic. Very enjoyable, would have again for sure.

Poured from a bottle into a Duvel glass.

A: Pours a hazy, ruby red with a small film of pink head.

S: Smells like tart, sweet raspberries. More like a candy than a beer.

T: Quite good, actually. I expected it to be cloyingly sweet but it isn't. There's a nice hint of tartness and a pleasant raspberry flavor. There's no real surprises or depth of flavor, just a pleasant fruity beverage.

M: Surprisingly light and crisp for the style.

D: The sweetness would get wearying after too many, but this is immensely drinkable in the same way an ice cold pitcher of lemonade would be on a hot summer day.

I would gladly drink this again.
