Poured from a 33 cl bottle into a tulip.

A: Amber hue. Very large, bubbly, white head. Settles/deteriorates fairly slowy. Sparse lacing.

S: A little malt, plenty o' yeast, a little lemon citrus and tea leaves.

T: Pungent, yeasty flavor rules the day. A little nutty or woody malt tone.

M: The pungent nature sticks with the palette throughout the experience. Slightly bittersweet finish.

D: Nice refreshing quality, goes down easy.

Atmosphere is decent. Large cascading head, but not much in terms of lacing. Nose is mostly defined by its yeasty nature, but a little balance with a sweet herbal tone. Flavor is pungent and yeasty, but not off-putting. Overall, this is a pretty good quaff.

From a 330 ml bottle into a tulip.

Pours a pale yellow gold in color with a massive 4 finger frothy head that breaks rather quickly leaving some decent lacing and a thin cap of foam.

The smell is typical of a Belgian pale, with yeasts and breads up front and some fruits on the tail. The Taste is similar to smell, with the yeadst and breads coming strong and fruits coming later and softening.

The feel is decent, the carbonation is medium and the mouth feel is lighter with a bit of a dry finish.

Overall not a bad beer. The alcohol is hidden well and the flavors come together nicely.

I have a strong feeling this beer has been sitting around the store for a very long time, probably expired.. Production code is 22IJ 11:06 but I have no idea what it stands for.

Appearance - Had to stop pouring less than half-way through because it generated 3 inches of white foam. Looks like soap suds and lasts a long time. Color is a dark copper/gold color. Has nice lacing.

Smell - Yeast, toffee, whiskey/alcohol, and spices.

Taste - Very sweet with honey, light spices, a little fruity, and a strong alcohol bite like a whiskey ale..

Mouthfeel - Thick bodied with a fair amount of carbonation.

Overall - This is the first Belgian pale ale I've ever tried but the alcohol aftertaste just grosses me out..
