Poured from a bottle into a tulip.

A - Pours a clear reddish-copper with a two-finger head of white sea foam. Rings of sticky lacing.

S - Healthy aroma of tropical fruit esters, Belgian yeast funk, spice, and booze. Booziness comes out more in the nose as it warms.

T - Complex blend of fruity phenols (melon, banana, bubblegum), honey, and musty/earthy funk. Spicy herbal hops keep things interesting in the finish. ABV noticeable but not in a bad way. Sweetness fades in by the mid-palate as horse blanket funk takes hold. Malts are sweet, subdued, and take a huge backseat to the other flavors.

M - Light side of medium bodied, with spritzy carbonation. Oddly creamy.

O - A tasty, rich, complex BSPA, although I must admit, I found it just a little too "barnyard" for my tastes. Would have to be in a special mood for this to be a rebuy.

Poured a beautiful cloudy amber with little head. Looks nice, but more head would raise it higher. Scents of slight bubblegum, grain, some alcohol, dark fruit, Belgian yeast and candi sugar. Quite nice, complex and Belgian in character. Flavor was boozy with a very heavy initial hit of alcohol but also flavors of Belgian yeast, apricot, dark fruit, slight white raisin, slight hints of straw and a somewhat grainy flavor on the finish. Very nice, with flavors of both a Belgian Dark and Belgian Golden. Mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a slight burn of alcohol. Very good and sippable. Overall this is an excellent beer. It's complex and unique, combining the best of Belgian flavors into a very drinkable whole. Highly recommended.

A: Massive white mountain head. Stuck around forever and grew in the glass after the pour. Golden color and slightly cloudy.

S: Spiciness, dark dried fruits (plum/raisin) but still crisp, alcohol came in stronger as it warmed, Belgian yeast funk.

T: Sweet and spicy. Huge amounts of dried fruit, you name it cherry/fig/plum. Alcohol and hop spice round it out. To much going on to really explain in words. Slightly dry and sweet on the finish

M: Full. Med to high carbonation, syrup like. Bitterness kicks at the end and the alcohol bite lingers as it warmed. Spicy on the gums.

O: This beer falls somewhere between a Belgian Dark Strong and a Belgian Golden Strong. The appearance would tell me it is a golden, but the flavor and scent says something else. I don't think this beer was designed to fall into our contemporary "categories." Anyway you slice it, this is a very complex beer that should be experienced by all.

Appearance: Pours with a large head 3 finger head which is lingering in a delicate large bubble. Streams of bubbles rise, similar to champagne. Slightly hazy and deep golden.

Smell: the first smell is of alcohol on account of the 9%. White french bread yeast scent with hints of very ripe pineapple and cream. a tiny bit of spiced cloves

Taste: Noticeable alcohol, which while the alcohol is upfront in the flavour, it's pleasant and warming. Malty biscuits and a faint after taste of bananas and cream. Leaning towards the flavours of a good oaked chardonnay, rich and smooth and slightly creamy.

Mouth feel: This one is thick, coats the mouth thick and lingers. One of my favourites for mouth feel. Rather highly carbonated, even manages to develop a new head when swirled in the glass.

Overall: Malty warm (on account alcohol) smooth round flavours -this one is worth drink all by itself.
