plastic coated brown glass 11.2oz custom stubby into nonic pint. no freshness date that i can find.
A: hazy honey gold with a half finger of offwhite head. large bubbles intermingled with the tiny foam suds. leaving a visible lacing down the glass and becoming a splotchy cap.
S: rich yeasty nose with strong fruity notes. getting banana and apple. a hint of spice. Smells sweet.
T: taste follow nose, hints of banana and yeast. followed by a slight bitterness and some spice. a little alcohol on the way down but not on the palate. better balanced than it smells but leaves a sweet aftertaste on the palate.
M: full bodied and well carbonated. as soon as it hits the warmth of my mouth it fizzes and releases huge amounts of the delicious aromas (described above). almost coats the palate it is so rich.
O: good brew, forget what i paid for it but it wasn't bad and for how good this beer that isn't a bad thing at all. It is my first quad, i am more accustomed to triples and trappist strongs (like Duvel and Chimay white). Moral of the story is I would buy it again.

Been passing up on trying this beer for a very long time.
Great malty tone to this with a distinct and consistent sweet edge. Way too easy to drink. Strikes me much more as a strong amber ale, but who cares. It's a nice hearty ale that carries mellow, yet pointed, sweet tones. Like I said, way too easy to drink. A great beer.
